I feel like this season is so episodic that we really have to wait. Bo Katan is too important to cut out, and much as I disliked the return to Nevarro, the ship being tracked is significant (there weren’t any real reveals that won’t be brought up again later with the facility). Maybe the cutaway with Gideon and tracking the ship could be placed after the Mon Cala repairs The Razorcrest?

Open this film with the majority of The Heiress, then final scene of The Siege.

Ahsoka’s adventure in The Jedi is such a side story, that it would be difficult to include all of it. I almost feel like all of the action should be cut. Have Din arrive, leave the ship, and cut straight to the scene where he stumbles upon Ahsoka in the forest. Cut out the moment where he talks about being hired to kill her, just have her storm off and then cut to him tucking Grogu in on the ship to the scene where she tells them where to go next.

I wasn’t referring to the planet shots, I meant the shots of the masked guards running through the burnt forest. Maybe with some different tinting they could be used as build-up before Kylo Ren’s appearance.

Oh, those shots could definitely be used. Need a tiny bit of colour correction, but yeah. Might help give the rest of the scene context that it lacked in the film.

I’m adding star destroyers to various planet scenes for Palpatines message. I’ve completed most of them but I’m not happy with the Coruscant part. I was thinking of removing Dooku’s solar sailor from him leaving Coruscant and panning to Kylos battleship but I couldn’t remember if it was destroyed at any point? I’m using the deleted Kylo bridge scene from TLJ and adding Coruscant planet in the windows.

Could I get a link to the ones you’re satisfied with? That could be awesome for the broadcast.

As for Star Destroyers being destroyed, I think it technically may have been destroyed in the Holdo manoeuvre, but it’s not confirmed at all (had to deploy that ground assault from somewhere). His Destroyer from Rise doesn’t get destroyed until it’s someone else’s on Exegol.

Here’s an attempt with Pain. I’m not totally sure about it, mainly because the beat is so repetitive. I brought in some of the backing vocals at the end, I think that helps.

I’m an old-school rap fan so I’d love to see some Wu-tang or 2Pac…but not sure where exactly.

I can’t say I’m familiar enough with the music to know a good track to place in. If you think of a good track for a scene, or do a mock-up, I’ll drop it in!

This project felt safe on YouTube, but obviously would not otherwise.

I mixed a few different sources and plug-ins I’ve gotten from work. It would be possible to release more without music, but I feel like Disney would chase that down if it got spread too far. Feels like unnecessary danger to sites like this.

This project is meant to be both humorous and earnest, haha.

I have another song replacement awaiting review on YouTube, might cut together another and update here with whichever is approved first. It’s been funny, the algorithm recognises every clip, but it seems random which get blocked (TRoS climax, TLJ Grumpy Luke, TFA Finn/Poe escape) and which don’t (RotJ ending and TLJ Canto Bight).

Some of the Lor San Tekka stuff could be established even further in the crawl, to help establish this as the main plot and do some of the lifting rather than dialogue replacement.

I’m all for radical… I just want some logic and cohesion to it. Ripping apart character motivations because of a derivative plot element with nothing to replace it with seems… lacking.

What’s the new motivation that they’re in such a rush to blow up THIS base and sacrifice Rey in the process?

Why is it so imperative to destroy THAT base then? The reason they take the risk to destroy the base is because of the danger. If the First Order is already strong as they are in the rest of the sequel trilogy, what’s the significance of THAT base? Most of the Resistance, including Leia, have zero shits about saving Rey. The entire climax hinges on this base, rather than other bases or Snoke himself, being destroyed desipte Rey being captured and held there.

I didn’t know that was in “most” edits, what’s the climax then? Are they shifting the battle of D’Qar up too? If there’s nothing for the Resistance and characters like Poe to do, such as destroying Starkiller Base, what happens there? How does Finn trick Han to take him to Starkiller if not to lower shields on the Superweapon for the Resistance to then destroy it?
