STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I wish Id never had to think about this problem with the movie. It all flowed. But now it jumps out, annoys me!! Aahhh, when I think back to Michael Robb saying "we've got an exclusive for you, for the first time on British television.....The Empire Strikes Back!" the clip showed from "Luke, don't its a trap" to "I've been waiting for you young Skywalker"......a connection to the vane from the city on your model Ady, no Rik Olie needed.

I see what you mean, but then don't they have to travel the length of the tube that connects the fin to the wall of the chasm? Is it some kind of long hallway or is like a travel tube of some sort? How long is the tube anyways?

Ok this is the way i see it....

The workers in Cloud City seem to be the Ugnaughts while the rest seem to be residents (extra revenue & good business sense so income is not reliant on the gas mine). The Carbon chamber is located within the vane. To get to it you have to travel down a long shaft. Now the carbon chamber wouldn't be the only facility in the vane as this would serve some other purpose too to do with the mining the gas. Now travelling down the shaft to get to the facility doesn't seem stupid to me as it is a mine and the long shaft may symbolise the shaft that coal miners had to travel down each day. Now if you look at the city it does seem a very clean place and a place that the wealthy would reside (especially when you see the rest of the galaxy at that point in time). Wouldn't it make perfect sense to have the mining facilities and industrial sector tucked away in the bowels of the city?

After studying the movie it is clear that the carbon chamber is situated directly above the room with the window in the vane.

Sorry again, just watched clip and obviously my memory is not what id like it to be. Luke DOES get sucked out the window of the vane after Vader throws debris at him, but I still think the Chamber somehow should be in the city and not in the vane if only to explain Lukes' arrival there.

Sorry but I think when you watch the movie you get the feeling the freezing chamber IS in the main body of the city and not on the vane. When Luke gets sucked out the window he 'luckily' lands on the vane. The sudden reappearance of Vader whilst Luke was walking through the corridor of the vane makes you think shit how did he get there! Makes you jump! It just doesn't make sense that when Luke got separated from Artoo that he had such a long journey to face Vader (in a few seconds!!) or those seconds robbed.

Hi Ady, I dont suppose you have checked out the revell easy-kit of the falcon, it has a major flaw - the height of the 'side walls' are too high. This is easily rectified. I bought the model over 2 years ago and was well into the modification but i shelved the project cause the wife and I had kid no.2.

I just havent had time to get back to the project. I could post a couple of pictures to show how easy it is to mod.

This kit is still kicking about in the shops for about £30.

Hmm.... Yes.......Yes.......Yess!!!!

Fantastic work Adywan, as usual!

I,m sorry Jeyl but I don't see anything negative with what Ady has done, the X-Wing looks fine to me, in fact it kinda impesses me that the Empire actually hits something, unlike the stormtroopers in ANH & remember Empire is a 'darker' movie anyway, never mind the triumphant music.

And on to warping. Warping!

What is warping?

Bending or melting of plastic or steel?

Star Trek terminolology of going into Lightspeed, perhaps?

Oh yes Jeyl, I think I know what you're talking about,......no the jump to lightspeed looks perfect.

A fantastic effect sequence once again by Adywan. Keep them coming!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Well done Adywan, I can't believe you've finished, as I said a while back, I bust my arm in the middle of November and started reading this thread, it was fantastic reading but what a task, so many changes, so much work. People telling you don't waste your time, another guy has done this and another had done that, they didn't take you seriously.... until the video clips, then people worshiped you!

I can't wait to see this re-imagining, well done Adywan,

Thanks, J

Ive bought a dual layer burner, and am ready to help, must say your improvements are flawless and do not stand out like a sore thumb, unlike the special editions' alterations which might as well have a luminous flashing arrow saying 'look! this bit is CG, so its bang up to date!'

Can't wait to see the final edit

Have you heard the accent of the Barman of the Cantina in the 'Behind the Magic' CD's?, weird to hear it in a London twang, also the human threatening Luke.

I know this is probably in the wrong thread, but a thing that really pisses me off that nobody seems to mention is the awefull hairpiece that Ewan McGreggor wears in Episode 1 for the pick-up shots. It just jumps out of the screen like a Russ Abbott-See you Jimmy wig. I'm sure Adywan can think of a way to fix these shots. I know that that will be probably a long way off. Let me know if this has pissed anyone else off!!

Thanks, J

Sorry I,m on again. Just an idea, probably someone's already typed it, but there could be enough footage of Temuera Morrison in AOC to use in a newly edited Empire for the 'Wee'll just float away with the rest of the garbage' Boba Fett bit. In AOC Jango never wore 'is 'elmit whilst flying around 'is asteroids! why should his geneticaly engineered one sperm son?

Just a fout!! J

New guy here, I've been off work now for 5 weeks with a broken forearm, 2 weeks ago I was improving Obi-Wans lightsabre in ANH 2004 DVD, you know the bit where you can tell its plastic (I'm now in training to be ambidexterous). I searched on google to find if there was a free program to demux AC3 which led me to this site. I,ve been reading this thread for 4 days!!!!! This is better than the Top Gear, FHM & Empire mags I've been getting as 'get well soons'. I must admit I did jump quite a number of pages once there was mention of the project being ready for Nov 2007, (Did you go for your operation Adywan?) I,ve given up on my project, because there is already a master at work. I am almost 40 and my wife thinks i've lost my head, being excited about Star Wars again!!! Its almost its 30th anniversary in UK: 27th Dec, there couldn't be a better way to celebrate!!
