Hi guys,

A motion test to see if Han and Chewie could be resized to improve the scale of the Falcon, at present I've only adjusted Han, gonna try and fix Chewie & dash next.  I also fiddled with the droid who interrupts the next scene of Han & Luke as suggested by Vaderios, I know Ady isn't going to fix these scenes so I thought I'd mock them up just to see if everyone thinks it is worth it.

I work for a UK AV company, can get my hands on HQ condenser mics and have home theatre so I guess I could be that nerd, I don,t have false ears though!

This is very interesting Bingowings, if you check Wiki for binaural recordings, it describes how to create this effect for headphones. To record this way you would need 2 microphones set up exactly like your ears on a dummy head with moulds of the folds of your outer ears to ensure the soundwaves are recorded exactly as you would hear them, you would then record the live playback of 5.1 (or better) soundtrack.

This is a professional dummy-head microphone for binaural recordings,

I think it would be a great experiment, would need to make moulds of my outer ears though.

Amazing clip Ady, can't believe how clear and sharp you've made it, I've got your AVCHD colour corrected Empire for the PS3, but this is totally different, its like when the restorers finish with an old painting, it's like watching a new movie!!

Sorry to hear about your latest setback, I'm sure someone could get their hands on a monitor for you. What screen resolution were you working at? I'm sure I could get a monitor with xga resolution, but I'm in Northern Ireland. Would anyone in the Mainland have a monitor in their attic?

Very interested about your Star Destroyer project, I have a few links to some scratch building projects if you need them.

What about the Finemolds Falcon will you be doing any mods to the mandibles or would they not be noticed in what you film of it (the angle of the mandibles is regarded to be the one of the only inaccuracies of the Finemolds kit along with the size of the radar dish) 

Cutting off the mandibles is a very scary experience with the cost of the kit and all, but it does improve the look of the ship, I'll post a couple of pics if you want.

Here's a wee edit of the Ash scene, I've started the clip after Ashs' head was connected up and propped up, just when they changed the scene setup and placed Ian Holm in the table, I dont know how the dummy could be fixed.

I placed a still of Ian into the scene when Parker ushers the two females out and looks back at Ash, I wasn't able to change the scene where Ripley swipes at Ash and disconnects him.

I cut down the flame thrower part so that it starts with a flame and not with an already melted face, and cut out the final blast of flame which exposes the plastic mannequin head.

I've done an edit where the dummy plastic head is cut out and stills of Ian Holm is inserted, I'll post Youtube links on Monday.
