There was also a continuity goof you made.  Right at the beginning during the exchange between Luke and Rogue Two, the flap closes while Rogue Two says his line, then when it cuts to Luke's "Set harpoons" line, the flap is open again.  Then the next shot - the tracking one behind both speeders - the flap is on Rogue 2 is closed.

As Angel said this is only a proof of concept, but I'm not using that as a 'get out of jail free card', If you can play the clip frame by frame, which is hard in youtube (unless you download it) you can see that after Rogue Two says his line and it cuts back to Luke, the flap is actually closed and is opening again.

The next goof you say is between the speeder model from the side of Rogue Two to the tracking shot of behind, which I wasn't trying to demonstrate.

Och no!, not the Carbon Freezing Chamber location debate again!

I think the possibility of updating the old static mattes of the trilogy, whether created for the OUT or SE's is fantastic.

These static shots were amazing at the time, but with the way we watch movies these days they don't stand up to the standards we expect.

As long as they are done subtly as Darth Editous has achieved.

Yeah, you're right Ady, just checked Empire 80, can't believe I never noticed that back-to-front model before!!

Good to hear your wife is OK. I'm sure motor mechanics are raking it in with damages caused by our extended bout of snow & ice, a guy I work with hit a kerb and did little damage just nocked out his alignment but the garage said he needed a new track rod end, he said to the mechanic just to leave it, so he checked it out somewhere else and it was just the alignment.

Glad you're back mate!

Thanks for the positive feedback folks!

A thing I had been working on for a while which kind of coincidently ties into Octorox's reflection comment, was Leia's apartment in Bespin.

I know that this topic was talked about at great length, about it's look, it's design, reflections and it's impossible shaped room which changes from shot to shot. I was just bothered by its lack of life, especially after following the Cloud-car in the previous shot and the frame stands still long enough for you to admire the obvious matte painting. I don't know what Ady has come up with, but I'm sure he's added something to this.

I still might fix a few bits, I might tighten up the Cloud Car flying by the window to cover the original Car you can see in the window, but as it is, it looks like it is the Car's reflection, maybe also add a shadow of the Car on Leia's building, like the original shot. I didn't like the Original Car, to me it looked out of scale?? dunno??

Thanks again for the support, makes me more creative!!
