STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Hey Ady, do you remember I mentioned a smaller scale Finemolds Falcon? (yours being 1:72 and the new one being 1:144) heres a link to a video blog showing the build of one of these fantastic models, in the last part (part 22) he shows it as if hiding on the Avenger

Info & Ideas: ESB and ROTJ Wishlist

Your description of ROTJ as 'Star Wars: The Greatist Hits' is spot on Bingo, it would be great to break the formula that Lucas uses (although 'last movie there was one, this movie there'll be two!' falls into his film making formula also).

Adding a second Death Star would radically change the movie, but how could th rest of the movie tie together, new elements would need filmed including Ackbar & Lando's reaction. Will there be a decision for a second DS attack run, if so would this not be confusing for the viewer, Lando's DS Attack run, Luke's battle in the tower, Han & Leia's Endor adventure with the Ewoks, then _____?'s attack on the other Death Star.

Maybe thats why Lucas dropped the 2 DS scenario.

The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread

I know this has been talked about before, its Vader's costume in ROTS.

In TPM we see a naked early version of 3PO.

In AOTC we see a shiny version of Boba's costume and the origins of the Stormtroopers. 3PO has evolved to a bit closer to his shiny self.

In ROTS the troopers have moved closer still to the Imperial Stormies of the OT. Vader appears at the end of the film in a fully developed costume (even more perfect than the OT costume - George was particularly proud of the new symmetrical mask).

Its a shame Vaders costume wasn't cobbled together, just to keep him alive more like Tony Stark's escape costume, or like McQuarries concept art.

Vader doesn't have much screen time at the end of the movie........if it could be reshot......?

The ANH:SE Redux Ideas thread (Radical Ideas Welcome).
Time

The only thing that annoys me about A New Hope is the approach to Mos Eisley, it was poor in the GOUT (blurry landspeeder with toy figures with a massive dark blurry shadow approaching a lifeless group of buildings with a white sky)

Poor also after the speeder got through the checkpoint as they made their way to the Cantina.

In the SE and the footage Adywan used, the approach looks wayyyy to CG, it just jumps out at you and says "Look at me I'm new here!! all done by a computer you know!!"

Ady did trim out the stupid gags which doesn't make it as sickly as the SE versions, but if there was a way to replace these scenes with something less jarring.

(by the way same goes for the stupid CG Dewbacks)

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

You know reading an entire forum and eventually catching up to date not far from the release date (hopefully) sounds just like my discovery of the SW:R thread in 2007!!

I had already made a few attempts at editing scenes from ANH (Obi-Wans vanishing trick as Vader strikes him down and the Stormie feet inconsistancies when Vader Chokes Cpt Antilles) when I badly broke my arm in Oct 2007 and needed surgery, so I was off work for months.

I eventually discovered the O.T. and Adywan's thread.

I quickly realised there was no point for me to continue Fan-Editing (until then I didn't know Fan-Editing had a community!) Ady was fixing things I hadn't even noticed and at such high standard.

Anyway....NJM I know a guy who is a music producer who composes & creates incidental music which has been used on local TV & Radio (Northern Ireland).

I could send you some contact details

Also the scene was filmed in a set in Elstree, London & thats not real daylight, the shadow is part of the set construction above 'the circle'.....

.....but you have to agree that it makes more sense re-blocking in that window, the caps above should have our characters bathed in (studio) sunlight

Nice 1 again Mr Angel

I assume you manage to erase 3po being behind chewie in the next shot :)

I assume is a reused or missing footage from the asteroid chase :)

See this approach too :)

Yes this looks a lot better than the SE alterations, now the two figures look in silhouette which would have been impossible standing below the SE open skylight, the scene looks more intimate.

Although Ady is correct in saying the blue coloured circle is confusing to the eye, it was also conveniently removed in the SE to add more fiddly CG (just to prove it could be done)

Your idea euroherbal, is a good suggestion to explain why the shadow is how it is now in the SE versions of the film, but if you look at the GOUT version it shows that the blue circle in the middle of the ceiling is solid and not a window & the blue seen through the other openings is not sky either!!??
