No but seriously, I don't think a large Lambda shuttle would be used by a mere Captain........Needa just isn't that posh like Palps & Vader....or Tarkin........maybe Piett.......The TIE shuttle should have stayed........out of focus, let your mind fill in the blanks, it doesn't have to be the repeditive Lambda class.

But I know Ady has his mind set on this....so I'll not bring it up again.

No but seriously, I think you might be a tad wrong, if I may point out that in the next film a Lambda shuttle is used for "mere" crew and technical parts for the forrest moon.

Not even Piett or his Lieutenant bats an eye at the Lambda shuttle, so I think they are are used quite often, the question is, should Vader and the Emperor arrive in mere cargo and crew shuttles?

Yeah sure we all agreed ages ago that the rebels shouldn't use a Lambda shuttle (as Ady reiterated, he's gonna change the shuttle to an Imperial cargo one) that a Lambda shuttle should be reserved for Imperial Royalty like The Emperor and his right hand man...........

...........and Captain Needa............oh I've done it again!.....honestly I'll shut up now.

I've been biting my lip because I know how seriously some people take the whole Star Wars EU.......but,.........If you go back to when I was a kid of 8 years old, there's the excitement of this new movie coming in the summer that the newspapers have been printing pictures of........pictures of robots and worn spacecraft that look so........used and real. Well you all know that that movie came out and here we all are now still talking about it.....but back then the cool spaceship was the Millennium Falcon, but only in the past ten years its got this back history created like what factory and planet it was manufactured on, a model name etc. Back then it was the Falcon.

I'm not saying loving Star Wars isn't cool, but in the 70's you were cool if you were in to SW, thats why so many celebrities appeared on TV and proclaimed their love for it (Sam Jackson, etc), Star Wars was hip cause it was excepted as what it was, you filled in the blanks with your imagination. On the other hand back then if you said you were into Star Trek, or Space 1999 (not so much Doctor Who), you were considered a nerd, (star trek had so much techno-babble, too much technical detail.........nerdy)

I just feel disheartened that people are passionate about the parts of Star Wars that I feel were created just to earn more money from the fans.........yes we all felt sad when we walked out of the cinemas back in 83 with 'yub, nub' still echoing in our ears. I went back to see the film over 20 time that summer, bought every thing I could by scrounging money off my parents for memorabilia, everyone didn't want Star Wars to end........and on that hunger, the EU went into overdrive........Star Wars to me is the three movies from my childhood, from 1977 to 1983......that even the hard-nuts in my school were in to...........things have changed nowadays.

I was wondering if perhaps his would be something you could use Adywan?

look at the pics and film this model builder has of the cloud car, perhaps one should talk to him? :)

Great work on that Hoth scene Ady, just gotta love it ! :) really brightens ones day.

Speaking of models, heres a nice wee project.

Great improvement to the Transport scene Ady, as others have said.....I'm genuinely getting excited about seeing this movie.....in an 1980's way!!

Speaking of this shot, would it be conceivable to show some snowspeeder traffic in the upper right, and maybe an AT-AT close-in halfway passed by in the lower left (to add some scope)?

And while your at it (this is the nitpicker in me speaking BTW!) would you not be able to see the speeders guns etc from this angle much like you should see the nose of the Star Destroyers from the bridge windows

Heres a shot of the inside of the cockpit in a 3D program, you are quite right BarBar.

This 'debate' has gone on quite a bit, BmB, what is your desired outcome?

You have repeatedly pointed out that you dislike the x-wing being destroyed and you've had a direct answer from the FanEditor in question, who isn't budging on his decision.

In any case this debate has taken place before when Ady released this segment, so you really are flogging a dead horse.

As far as ass-kissers on this forum...... there are folks here who have debated with Adywan and have successfully persuaded him to change his mind, or consider going a different way with things...but I think the way that you are going is putting his and the community heres' back up, and that is why you are not being well received.

The Devastator needed to disable the Tantive 4 with a blast in order to pull it in, and that was in persuit, with that in mind would a tractor beam be that effective in capturing vessels accelerating towards them when they were almost static?

Also remember the scenes that follow with the pursuit of the Falcon...

If anything, in my opinion, it would be easier as they're moving towards them, and could therefore use their momentum to pull them in easier. No?

Dunno Radi0n, but if you imagine it as magnetism, you are pursuing a vessel and matching it's speed but the magnetic device you have to capture it, cannot slow the vessel enough to trawl it onboard, so you need to disable its engines.

Now do you think the device would be able to capture vessels which would be travelling at an enormous speed, considering your ship is static....seems harder this way.

Ady has given us a few samples and stills of the work he has done which we have analysed under a microscope (or rather zoomed).

When the edit is complete and we can play the movie through I think we will understand the editing decisions and logical improvements that he has made.

Can we move on to another topic.

JEJ voice simply goes high and emotional in that particular scene so I don't think there's much one can do to calm him down.

If you haven't already you should check out Prowses original dialogue for that scene, Ha!!!!!
