Only if he has skills with the Force. Otherwise, it would be a pretty one-sided fight.

I'd very much like to see a non-Force using lightsaber weilder who can hold his own against a Jedi. It'd be a refreshing change of pace.

JEDIT: Just saw the image of this new character. It's just another stupid Maul knockoff. God damn this stagnant piece-of-shit franchise.

I agree,.....everything was looking great,.....until they went back to the Prequels

Oh no...I just realized they'll probably bring Palpy back. When the brilliant Ian Ambercrombie passed away they replaced him with Tim Curry. I like Tim Curry as an actor but he's AWFUL as Palpatine. =(

At least Tim Curry's accent sounds English, the actor who's doing Tarkin's voice sounds a bit Australian

aren't 'Sith' and 'Dark Jedi' basically the exact same thing???

To me (as I did not read every novels nor comic books) the Sith are like an ancient religion. Once there are no more Sith, you can't have more Sith. Unless someone learns to use the Force from a Sith holocron, directly from a dark lord of the Sith.

So, to me you can have: Sith Lords, or Dark Jedi (a Jedi who turns evil but without the help of a Sith Lord) or a random guy that knows the ways of the Force and do bad things with it without being a Jedi nor a Sith.

So yeah... they are more or less the "same thing" in the sens that they are all people using the Force for doing bad things or for their own interest. But as a matter of plot they are all a bit different.

To me, once you start down the dark path, go against the teachings of the Jedi and use the powers with aggression.....you're a Sith knight.

The Dark Jedi thing came in the years between Star Wars & Episode 1 because the word Sith (which was introduced in Star Wars as Darth Vader's title 'Dark Lord of the Sith') wasn't explained as being the opposite of a Jedi until Ep 1

There has to be dial or gauge somewhere the Falcon that tells you if it's safe to exit the ship without a pressure suit. The fact Leia just saw a living creature sucking on the window is kind of a dead giveaway.

These guys can be a little hard to see in Star Wars...

There you go, still no pressure suits, just regular armour with oxygen

Don't forget walking out of the Falcon without pressure suits in the belly of a space slug in ESB

To get round these scientific flaws I suppose you could say (apart from it's only a movie) that it's set 'A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away' and although the term 'human' is used in the films, the characters have a different biology to us

J

I choose to assume that the space slug's natural gases makes its insides habitable enough for someone to walk around inside it without getting a nasty case of the bends.

I dunno, Han & co didn't think twice about putting on just a face mask & air, if they had known there was natural gasses....or something to equalize the pressure that would be inside their bodies....wouldn't they have known at that point they weren't in a cave.....

I just think wearing a pressure suit is something that the 'humans' in Star Wars don't need

Thanks for the revelation I never put Rieekan in Fawlty towers until now. It's the hair.

It's funny, I re-watched Full Metal Jacket yesterday and he's in it

Harrison always talks slow (nothing to do with his age) and the show is so fast paced, I felt sorry for him, but I think he genuinely enjoyed himself.

His reply to acting in another Indy film was good, and as he said he could act the older Dr Jones like Sean Connery did.

The Episode 7 question was handled well, mentioned, joked about then moved on.

Harrison's hairstyle was the most 'Han Solo' style he's had in years.

well, seeing as how this thread has been somewhat high jacked from ESB:R to killing off Lando, i might as well ask, Adywan, (since I'm assuming he'd perish in the Battle of Endor) if he might be killed at the lowest point of the battle to show how hopeless it seems for the rebels, or if he sacrifices himself to blow up the death star, or if you're undecided (or perhaps just wanna keep it a surprise).

It's looking like it will be a sacrifice to destroy the death star. There has been a lot of talking going on behind the scenes and we've been scouring through many of Billy's films and audio to see what sound bites we could use, going through all footage of Lando in the falcon to see what can be trimmed so it could be used in a different scene and, after a few trials, we think we've nailed something that will work.

Sounds exciting :) though i imagine the real trick will be properly portraying the reaction of the others to this (especially Han)

Might I ask how you plan to achieve that?

I'm not that fussed about Lando dying,.....it's just....gulp!...does this mean that the Falcon buys it?.....sob!

......now enough of this nonsense,.....how will this be taken seriously if Lando & the Falcon are in the next episode?

Still think this was one of my best:

Episode 7: The Return of the One Eyed Snake

After his miraculous escape from the Original Death Star, your friend & mine, Diaoga returns to terrify our unsuspecting heroes all over again with side-splitting results......not one for the faint hearted

Episode 8: Sith Academy

Hilarious goings on at the Sith Academy where the massive college & training unit is threatened with closure due to there only being one Master & one apprentice....time to bend those rules....if the Academy is to survive

Episode 9: Going Solo

After the break-up of his marriage Han moves in with his old Wookiee mate, Chewie who is also coming to terms with hair loss, there is nothing Han or the Heroes can do to persuade the balding Wookiee to cover up.

Frank says

Well, unfortunately for you all, the plans are to be changed. I hope you're adaptable, Dr. Scott I know Brad is.

The main point is the core explodes blowing the thing apart

Perhaps if the dialogue was changed

General Dodonna: 'The approach will not be easy. You are required to manoeuvre straight down this trench and skim the surface to this point. The target is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. the shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start will start a chain reaction which should cause a bit of a fire.'

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

I've found their reviews to be pretty spot on, I never find myself disagreeing with their POV, the tearing apart of the Prequels is amazing, pointing out all the reasons why you can't connect with the characters, but on the other hand the commentary track for 'Star Wars' or as a**holes call it 'Episode 4: A New Hope' (Plinketts words) reminds us that there are many moments in the movie which are pure genius....intentional or accidental,.....hard to believe this film was the same director as the Prequels

Boba somehow knew how and which Star Destroyer Han was hiding on (in my experience there's no such thing as luck).

could very well be that he was just hiding in the garbage IN CASE Han tried the same trick...maybe he didn't know a damn thing but his bounty hunter instinct told him to try that before leaving in case it panned out.

Well I'd say that Boba would have looked at the situation with a similar survivors instinct as the pirate captain, The Falcon had its chance to escape a couple of times,.....no lightspeed,.....the first time it heads into an asteroid field to try and hide, the second time, when it had a clear shot of getting away it turns and buzzes the control bridge of its persuer.....then vanishes......I'd say Boba knew axactly the move Han pulled....flew out to investigate,.... spotted the space tic, and hid in a similar position......waiting

The problem is the approach on the Alderaan / death star in ANH...

The falcon can track a ship following it in a group of inanimate asteroids... Bobba fetts ship is no different from this scenario in ESB.

So thats it solved then, going by the evidence in ANH,... the Falcon can detect a following craft, so in ESB Slave 1 must have already been blocking itself otherwise Han would have known he was being followed....see?
