No problem Ryan, I'll post your photos & I'll put a link here for you to jump to.

Laserschwert, that YT turned out great, how much did it cost you to get it printed, and how long did you wait?

You should mould it & cast it,....I'm sure tonnes of people would love to have that in their collection

Hey Ryan.......very impressed, you should join some of the Forums, like Scale Model Addict, The Replica Prop Forum & Keeper of the Force, theres a girl (hot girl) whos making the Screamin' Boba model over at the RPF who needs to see those photos.

Excellent (really excellent) weathering on Boba & the.....what do you call that funny thing from the....ahem.....Prequels?.....oh yes, Battle Droid....

....actually bought that STAP model myself to modify the Battle Droid also,...but it's still on the sprue.

Very inspiring work there Ryan

On 'The Replica Prop Forum' Replica Astromech maker 'R2Dan' posted about the Twitter photo:

"That's a fanmade R2 - Oliver Steeples is in the pic and this is his droid. An R2 builders council member and a top guy, I might add. I sent him a quick message, here's what he replied:
"Oh that. Me and jj hanging out you mean. They wanted some reference r2 stuff and jj wanted his photo taken, was very lucky"

Whatever that means... will try and squeeze some more info out of him "

Star Wars Blooper Reel

I'm always grateful for unseen footage. I just can't imagine showing something like this at a convention and getting laughs. I guess when I saw "blooper reel," I expected something....funny.

Other than that, it's awesome. I always welcome new footage.

Someone has put the footage into the original SW trailer,......

Carrie Fisher interview.

Maybe it's because I've been on board since the beginning and that's how she was introduced to me as a character as well as an actress, but I cannot reconcile who she was back then with who she is now.  It's a transformation I simply cannot wrap my head around.

Yep I agree totally, you could have believed her gradual aging about 10 years ago, but since then, I don't know what happened to her......but that interview.... she is HOT!!

JJ successfully moved the Star Trek movies away from the nerds into the main cinema audience

Speaking as a Star Trek nerd;  To me, he did both.  I had said goodbye to Trek because I was tired of seeing Data sing show tunes, while the crew discussed the Prime Directive and wedding decorations.

Abrams gave me back Star Trek.  He gave me tension, Kirk being an arrogant ass, and Spock irritating McCoy. The fact that the non-nerds liked it is just icing on the cake.

It certainly was, and speaking as a Star Wars nerd what i was trying to say was it would be great if the new Star Wars film was appealing to everyone...that everybody would want to see it for the ride

Just re-watched VH1's 'When Star Wars Rulled the World' and was reminded that people walked out of the cinemas and re-joined the queues to see the film again....hopefully that roller coaster ingredient is included in the re-writes.....something that will appeal to everyone, not nerdy like the prequels.

I can see a scene where Leia, now married with a new republic politician is in the obligation to ask Han to work again with her, because of his knowledge of some underground organization she needs to contact. He's no general anymore. He's just fixing the Falcon all over again when they meet for the first time in years. He's not that interested in the job but since it's Leia asking...

You know that sounds like a great idea, it moves away from the softer dumber Han in ROTJ to a Han that would never settle down, he'd likely have a kid with Leia, but he'd have moved on....bit like Indy really

Is it possible that in one of these very rare Laser discs exists footage of James Earl Jones recording his DV lines? Or did they not use to film actors while doing voice over work like they do now?I know that mostly happens when it's an animated film but reading about all the never-before-seen footage that may be in there got me wondering about this. In the LDs or elsewhere, I'd very much like to see JEJ back then bringing Vader to life.

Has anyone got any idea if said footage exists? If so, link please! :)

I think the footage on these discs are the dailies, the stuff that was shot for the film, perhaps if JEJ was filmed in the recording studio it would have been shot on video for record.....be cool to see

Don't you mean analog? :-)
The fact that "laser"disc is analog still baffles me.

Wiki explains it well: Design

& mentions Lucasfilm 'Editdroid': History

I wonder what the picture quality would be like

I have the CAV version of Jurassic Park, the film is split over 2 disks using 4 sides, slow mo is amazing on it

Some interesting developments....

I will donate some cash to the project but I have not had any cash come in for ages. I did a job for the company that Jaita works for and they still have not paid quarter of a year later.

I think they are trying to screw me or they are incredibly disorganised. Either way not happy but I will donate something once it starts to come.

Not a personal attack on you Jaita but not to sure about your company. I may have to take them to small claims court as it stands.

On a cheerier note good news on that disc... I wonder what that will be like.... It also makes you wonder how much footage there is locked away somewhere.

No problem Ronster,....I'm in the Belfast branch & we had a bit of a hit due to the recession a while back, at the minute we don't have a large workforce so we have to use freelance guys, I know from them that they have to keep phoning head office to get paid,.....which branch did you do the work for?

Keep on ringing them, every day, they'll be forced to pay you
