Green Day Corvette Summer. With Mark Hamill in the music video.
Strange.
Green Day Corvette Summer. With Mark Hamill in the music video.
Strange.
The rumor that Filoni is Kennedy’s replacement at Lucasfilm. I had a good laugh.
Dave taking over Disney Star Wars would be pure comedy.
It’s just another fake Fandom Menace rumor I looked it up nothing on Hollywood reporter.
Wow. I have this but mine is missing the certificate. I also seem to have lost the creative impulse excerpt that just covers the Star Wars trilogy. For years it was just 3 tapes i found Star Wars to Jedi somewhere else and put it back together with the others. I also still have the Styrofoam inlay.
I had better put into storage again before it gets all covered with dust.
RIP Jonathan Joss, King of the Hill actor killed by gunshot wounds and homicide. In an apparent homophobic killing.
I was surprised that Raiders was the cleanest looking transfer of the lot having been the first of the movies.
Love that Struzan cover art for Temple of Doom.
Thank you enater for being so generous with this project, and thanks to Jason for his kind assistance.
The third radio play it’s more an extension of the EU than an expansion of the film.
You have mentions of EU. Luke building his lightsaber in Ben’s hut or cave with Kenobi’s book with Adegan Crystals. Mara Jade shows up as Arica at Jabba’s Palace. And they mention Threepio flying the Falcon in Shadows of the Empire.
Mark Hamill does not reprise, nor does Billy Dee Williams. Only Tony Daniels returns as Threepio.
Though they were able to bring back the other radio players. Perry King as Han, Ann Sachs as Leia. Brock Peters as Vader. And Johh Lithgow as Yoda and they had Ed Asner as Jabba the Hutt.
Joshua Fardon does a decent job but he is no Mark Hamill. Lando is exceedingly poorly cast. Arye Gross sounds nothing like Billy Dee.
The Han Solo 2016 comic is decent.
I also read the Imperial Cadet comic. Good art. Story not recommended.
My uncle died. He lived with schizophrenia for decades and he died of cancer, slipped into a coma and never woke up.
At least he is at peace finally. No more anguish.
I feel slightly bad, because he lived a home too far away for me to visit. And now I can never say goodbye.
The show was brave to not have nostalgia and jangling keys. No Darth cameo, no Leia cameo.
You have the exploits of regular and extraordinary brave people, no Jedi. No Demi gods.
I’m not surprised by his decision since he already retired the role In the Last Jedi, came back for a cameo in Rise of Skywalker. And for those two deepfake Luke episodes.
It’s a bit presumptuous though to say you won’t be in a movie that isn’t greenlit or fast-tracked and may not even get made.
I’m not convinced Luke won’t Return in Dave’s movie. Only that Mark is done and has been for a while.
The 1998 version. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Encyclopedia
According to Sansweet it was based upon the second edition of the Guide to the Star Wars Universe and first generation of the Essential Guide books. From before the Prequels and changed timeline and lore it introduced.
Hardback, colour illustrations, great condition (so far). For €4 in a book market stall.
I have this very same edition. I was quite pleased with it when it came out and i bought it on sale at Borders, a bookstore that no longer exists.
The same shop i used to buy my Criterion And Kurosawa DVD. Books on Leone Westerns, Stanley Kubrick, and books on mythology. Comics/magazines all my fantasy and science fiction, most of my star wars books. Where I purchased all my prequel books and CDs and cassettes. And even my master replica lightsabers.
An Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime. Specifically, the 2012 reissue of Ultra Magnus from Asia, and the 15th Anniversary Optimus Prime from 2000. From Takara Japan.
And they probably will be the last action figures I buy for a while.
Prices are out of hand on everything from Electonics. to Toys, to food, and video games. Blu-Ray and 4K.
Sometimes I find deals on laserdiscs and DVD but not often.
I see Princess Mononoke had a 4K restoration screening in March by G-kids which I never had heard of.
Hopefully that means at least a Japanese 4K disc release is in the planning.
I was reading the making of Star Trek and i stopped for a while. I’ve also picked up the Making of Star Trek Phase II. The unmade series.
I have the making of Star Trek V by Shatner’s daughter Lisbeth.
I will see if the library has The view from the bridge from Nick Meyer.
Edit:
I’m reading Star Trek Prime Directive by Judith and Garfield Reeve Stevens.
And i finished most of Nick Meyer’s book and not much new was added about the making of those Star Trek films he hadn’t already covered in interviews or DVD commentary. Though there was a bit of stuff about The 7 percent solution and time after time but not much just his personal experience. It’s a not a production kind of document it’s a memoir.
The Star Trek films deserve the same kind of attention in making of books that the Rinzler books did for Star Wars. The only thing remotely close is Return to Tomorrow and that was self-published, has no pictures and is in need of editing. and its only Star Trek TMP.
And there is an updated Making of Khan and Star Trek First Contact but they did no others. And the Insurrection book by Michael Piller is about the films writing not its making. Also a self-published book for screenwriters and quite expensive. Though the book had already been leaked for free for quite a while before Michael’s Wife published it.
Ronin in Visions is very Kurosawa inspired.
It was so close to Seven Samurai i was like holy crap.
Plus, its very Yojimbo like in its Mifune Esque Ronin Sith.
And its strange that a Sith is the good guy, well its Legends and not canon.
I’m not in agreement. the Art on the Temple of Doom Korean Laserdisc by Struzan is amazing. Yeah you can complain about floating heads or whatever like the thread creator.
R.I.P. Peter David author of the Star Trek novel series New Frontier and numerous comics.
One of the greats is gone forever. I’m sad to say goodbye to him.
Rip Peter David. Author Star Trek novels and comics. And author of runs on She Hulk and Supergirl. One of my favorites.
A restored theatrical print for a wide re-release for the 50th is what I want. DCP, 70MM, AND 35mm. I don’t need to mention is needs to be Star Wars 1977 right and not any version after 1980.
Let’s also have the original 6 track magnetic audio at the basis for the 5.1 mix.
The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. They literally quoted Palpatine from Revenge of the Sith.
Rey was the daughter of his clone. His clone had no force powers and was a disappointment.
how he was able to transfer his soul into another dying clone, and maintain his midichlorians they never explain.
there is no way his body survived the death stars explosion or falling into a reactor. It’s absurd even for Star Wars.
This preservation is fantastic you are a real gem.
I watched some of Return of the Jedi are we sure this is even the THX master.
I know the Hong Kong is, wouldn’t it be weird if this was an earlier master.
It does not have the THX logos and no Leonard Maltin. What a find.
Happy Star Wars Day to you as well Jason. May the Force be With You!
Everyone needs a malt like Biggs and Luke. Cheers to 48 years of Star Wars.
Was there any news at celebration Japan because I did not hear of such.
Also not a peep about Kinberg’s trilogy either.
And Waititi and Mangold are still working on theirs independently.
Starfighter was greenlit; Rogue Squadron you would think never had existed. Is it memory holed like Rian Johnson’s trilogy, Benioff and Weiss Old Republic trilogy. Lando pretty much disappeared as well.
I swear it’s like half the projects either don’t get made or they take the idea and make it into something else.
Instead of a Boba Fett Bounty Hunter western film you get the Mandalorian. Instead of an Obi-Wan trilogy you get a season of a tv show. Instead of Old Republic you get the High Republic and the Acolyte.
Well to be clear I don’t want a Disney Revan trilogy.
The 1990 Pan and Scan or it may have been a 1992 reissue. That is VHS.
If i was to pick a laserdisc its the Special Widescreen Edition for Empire Strikes Back.
And Definitive Collection for the whole trilogy.
For DVD its easily Return of the Jedi PAL Gout. The other two transfers look horrible. In Pal or NTSC. I prefer the PAL THX laserdiscs for those.
I’d like Ronin to become an actual full animated show. Not just two short films/animation.
I’d like a new trilogy of live action films but I don’t what about or who should Star in them.
I kind of don’t know if you can do anything further with the sequel trilogy without pissing large swathes of people off. Or at least online naval gazers.
Disney/Lucasfilm seems to not want to bring anyone back except Daisy as Rey. Probably to hand it off to whoever the next someone is like Luke was supposed to.
But they seem to genuinely not be fussed with getting a script together or timeline to shoot the movie, hell maybe it gets cancelled.
