I did the SW test with my 7 year old nephew, there is hope!
Time
My sister doesn't like Star Wars that much, but her favorite is Episode III, only because it's the only one she can understand, and that she has a crush on Anakin.

Speaking of which, I went to a girl classmate's birthday party, and had everyone watch "The story of Luke Skywalker" on the bonus "Story of Star Wars" DVD. What's sad was, half the kids watching were talking like they'd never seen it before. Like when Luke cuts off Vader's arm in ROTJ, one says "Why's he complaining!?" And what's even sadder is, I asked another girl there if she liked the synopsis better than the actual trilogy. This is what she said: "Oh Yea! Short and to the point!" o_O

Star Wars Battlefront II
Time
Normally I just ignore Star Wars games, because there's so many of them. But this one actually appealed to me. 1) Because it's a shooter, like DOOM, and 2) it's the first game ever to cover all six movies.

I rented the game for PS2 this week, and I see that it plays a lot like Halo, which I've got for the PC. Using the Jedi is an awesome tactic, and I'm glad to see Capture-the-Flag in there.

But here's the problem: I can't get used to the controls! I always play shooter games on the PC, because I'm so used to the keyboard and mouse (which is why I got Halo for the PC, because I couldn't stand the XBOX controls for that game). I see on my PS2 that there's two USB ports. If I could get a USB keyboard and mouse plugged in and to work with Battlefront, I'll be able to ace that game.

I have no choice but to get this game for the PS2, because my sucky computer doesn't have Transform&Lighting, which the PC version requires. So do you know if I can get a USB keyboard and mouse to work with the PS2 game?

Help: looking for... The "FACES" preservation DVD set
Time

All right, the main reason I came to this site was because I wanted a DVD copy of the OOT. Dark Jedi’s “FACES” set is perfect because it will match my VHS tapes. But I never got it. And I’m still waiting for it.

So if you’ve got a few extra copies of the “FACES” set, PM me about it. I’ll send you my mailing address so you can send the set to me.

Please, I really want this set. And I feel I’ve waited long enough.

DOOM 3 Essential
Time
If you have DOOM 3, you know the game has 3 CDs, and if it's below v1.2, you must use the CD to play it. Not to mention the ridiculous hardware requirements you need to play the game. Well......

When you get the latest patch (v1.3), you no longer need the CD to play the game.

To supposedly make the game faster, take all the PK4 files in your "C:\DOOM3\base\" directory, unzip them in the same folder (WinZip can do it), then delete them. The game should now (possibly) play faster.

I've already done all these things, and once I get through the graphical flaws that my crappy 82845G Integrated Graphics thingy has (I plan to get a new motherboard and a NVIDIA for Christmas), I'll make a Nullsoft Installer with the game, and burn the game onto a DVD! I might even include DOOM 1 and 2 on there as a bonus!

Note that right now, this DVD copy will only be for myself. I already have the original game, and I'm making this as a backup copy, like with my Star Wars OOT Widescreen THX tapes.

Just thought I'd post this as a tidbit though...

Marvel Super Heroes Melee
Time
Since you people are doing such a great job with the OOT Star Wars DVD projects, I was wondering if you people could help me with something.

Do you know of the program called MUGEN? It's a 2D fighting game, which you can customize in every ways. Characters, stages, menus, life bars, EVERYTHING. I'd like to use it to create a fighting game based off the Marvel Vs. Capcom games, called "Marvel Super Heroes Melee". It will have every [Marvel] character from MVC2, but they'll all play and have the special effects like in Marvel Super Heroes, which is the style I'm using. Except there will be no combo names (which are included in the character file), and no storyline, because I just want this to be a mindless brawler (Like Super Smash Bros. Melee). That means no intros, endings, and win screens with quotes. There can be win poses, but no screens.

First, I'll post the names of the characters I want for the games in this thread, and one of you shall choose which character you'd like to work on. I'll tell you what to do and what you need to make the character perfect. We're getting the characters done first because that's the hard part. We'll deal with the stages and other stuff later.

Characters:
Spider-Man
Captain America
Hulk
Iron Man (my favorite )
Wolverine
Psylocke
Blackheart
Shuma-Gorath
Juggernaut
Magneto
Doctor Doom
Thanos
Colossus
Cyclops
Storm
Iceman
Spiral
Silver Samurai
Omega Red
Sentinel
Rogue
Gambit
Sabretooth
Venom
War Machine
Cable
Marrow

I'll boost thing up a bit...

CHAPTER 2:
The heroes track their nemesis to his secret moosbase, only to be pummeled away by extreme firepower. Even though the Tekbots have an IQ of -363, they do know how to defend their territory. Deciding to go after him another time, Stick and Sphere go to visit Keiko and Keika, the prince and princess of the beautiful planet Onymun, the only one not under the grip of the evil X Legion. Keika's scouts had stolen plans from Terror-Former's base disguised as Tekbots, and had reported the madman's orders from Emperor Xarok himself: He was to create a diplomatic relationship with Enos, the leader of the rebellious mercenary army known as the Rogues. Although this is a risky move, it should help to overthrow the King and Queen of Onymun, which would take brute force to accomplish because the planet had strong and courageous defenses. Once Terror-Former's plans are revealed, Keiko and Keika send the two heroes to locate the Rogues and warn them of the X Legion's "deal"....
