No.  No more animation please.  I got a painful eyeful during the lousy PT.  Ive watched about 5 min of the CW and i think its an insult to the SW universe along with the PT.  Im ready for some epic, intense, gritty, suspensful action and storytelling.....U know,  like the OOT.

I read that 20th century fox still has distribution rights.  Does that mean we'll still be denied the OOT on bluray?

If the new trilogy does include Luke and Leia, there's the chance that Leia will be a jedi master(Luke makes her jedi potential known in ROTJ)and if thats the case, there wont be any jacen, jaden or anikan due to the jedi rules of attachment as noted in AOTC.  Hopefully whoever decides to take the helm will actually pay attention to movie canon.  Just a thought

Luca$ brought in as a consultant?  I dont agree with this at all and I hope whoever takes the SW reins takes his input with the finest of grains of salt and instead opt to listen to REAL talent.  The creative group and director need to consult with people associated with the OOT and with people who know what made SW huge in the first place.  George can park the cars.

Im happy for Disney making the purchase in the hopes that we'll finally get a beautifully restored OOT on bluray.  Im not sure about the beginnings of an ST in 2015.  What the heck would it be about? I sure hope its in the hands of a competant, hard working, caring imaginitive director unlike the slug that gave the world jarjar binks and "yippee!"

I dont favor a reboot of the OOT.  Just cant see anyone else playing those legendary roles. 

Now Im all for a PT reboot.  IMO, TPM  AOTC and ROTS along with the absurd CW should be wiped from existence.  A writer/producer/director with great talent and deep passion for epic-quality should be at the helm.

Yeah, I usually like reading the articles for their wit.  But I also find Cracked.com's research spotty at times.

I think the yub-nub celebration should canned in favor of Kool and the gangs' "celebrate good times"  track instead.  Seriously though I'd like to see:

1) More Y-wing action in ANH.  Would've love to see dogfighting scenes involving those ships.

2)  From the opening scene in ANH, the blockade runner's lasers scaled down so they look like they were actually fired from those small twin cannons.  The ones on the movie being shot at the SD were HUGE and looked a big as the blockade runner itself!

3) ROTJ space battle.  again issues with blockade runners.  There were rebel fleet scenes in which blockade runners looked HUGE!  When the fleet prepares for hyperspace u can see the BR aft engines and they appear about as big as the starcruisers.  Also I would've loved to see action from the B-wings, aside from just locking s-foils.

Yeah there were skyhopper races in both Rogue Squadron games for Nintendo Gamecube.  I used to have the SW storybook when I was a kid and it had lots of great pics in it, some that werent in the movie.  There was one tatooine  pic of Luke and Biggs talking about joining the alliance and Biggs was wearing a white top with a black neck band.  Would love to see that as a possible inclusion or a deleted scene of a BD SE.

Watched Close Encounters and JAWS blurays today and LOVED them!  Couldnt believe the picture clarity of JAWS!

Attn George Luca$:  Please loosen up your collar, thus restoring normal blood flow to your brain, and make the OOT into Bluray already!

  I understand the technology limitations of the OT, but who's to say Yoda didnt have another saber tucked away in his shack?  I think it would have been cool had there been a scene where he spars with Luke and teaching at the same time.  I'd have to go along with the POV that both Yoda and the emperor didnt need sabers in the OT cuz they were beyond them in power.  Obviously Sidious felt secure and was arrogant and overconfident in his throne room aboard the DSII, surrounded by Royal guards and troops and in control of Vader, knowing that he masterminded everything he sees.  I dont regret either of them carrying sabers in the PT because of the turbulent circumstances at the time.  The jedi were still a threat to Sidious as he grew in power.  Yoda carried his to help defend the crumbling republic.  I think Luca$ should have waited till ROTS for yoda's saber fight, and that being against Sidious.  I believe Yoda and Sidious brandishing their lightsabers for the 1st time, against each other would have had more impact.  Yoda should've defeated Dooku easily without the saber in AOTC, as I didnt care for that silly duel.

LOL.  Yeah Im GLAD we didnt get any of that in the PT!  I hope there isnt another film during the remainder of Luca$'s lifetime.  He's ruined enough.  I just hope his kids have the integrity to turn the movie reins over to a quality filmaker that can return the saga to its epic form.

Did TPM really ruin Jake's life?  I know he received TONS of criticism and was bashed, but is his life really ruined?  Does anyone know what he does for a living now?

I was 5 yo at the time.  The movie swept me off my feet and SW mania ensued.  I recall my friends and other grade school kids talking about:

how many times they saw the movie

who their favorite character was

what was their favorite vehicle/ship

how many toy action figures/space ships they have

the new SW disco song on the radio all the time

which SW character they were to dress up as during halloween

kids wearing assorted SW t-shirts

I also recall many playground discussions about what Vader looks like under his helmet and whether or not stormtroopers were robots or humans and what they looked like without the armor.

I had a great Christmas in 77'.  My parents got me the entire basic wave of action figs, the x-wing, landspeeder.  My friends had tons of SW toys and it was great to get together and combine them all for some huge space battles!

That was a great read!  Very insightful.  Im glad she found happiness after Luca$.  If only more people new the real story about the true success of SW, and not just George.

Yeah I recall giving him some criticism back when TPM was released, and I heavily regret it.  I think he tried with what he had to work with.  He was in some talented company in Ewan and Liam.  I hope Jake is doing well and is happy in life.
