Eyes Wide Shut (Original Cut Preservation / Edit) (* unfinished project *)
Time
If possible lossless audio would be preferable for the track.

I ripped it at 320 kbps with the highest quality setting for VBR on as well...should I re-rip it with Apple Losesless?

I have a uncensored version of the film in Divx/Xvid (not sure of the exact codec). If there isn't anyone who has the DVD, frames from my files could at least be used as place holders until a DVD is acquired.

I have the american reigon-1, so perhaps if I could get that one from you I could theoretically start work splicing & dicing this thing...
Anyone recommend any good tools for such a process? (Btw, how big of a file is your unknown version of it?)

On another note, I've read that the Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing section is edited on all DVDs:
In the lengthy shot where Nicole Kidman dances naked in front of a mirror to Chris Isaak's "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing," the second half of the shot, once Tom Cruise walks over, has been zoomed considerably for the DVD. The first half is as it was shown in theaters, with rear nudity from Kidman, but seconds before Cruise enters the frame, the image starts to zoom up and in rapidly, so that when Cruise enters, only a section from his elbow up is visible. In the theatrical version and the original unrated trailer, when Cruise enters, the frame goes well below his navel. - from the IMDb
Does anyone have the unrated trailer; or even better, some manner of bootleg of the theatrical version (which would be useful for syncing up the altered music as well) which could be used to recover this footage?

Yeah I don't know if this kind of shot (or the others really) are possible to recover unless someone has some pretty good insider knowledge, but it's a good thought anyways.

Okay, so I finally got a copy of the unaltered soundtrack on CD to use for the soundtrack in the censored section of the film....i'll upload it in a few days time.

However,

Is there anyone out there who also wants to help with this project & has access to any other reigon release of this film other than reigon-1?

RotS: Secret Keeper Edition (* unfinished project *)

As for why Ben would say that Vader killed Anakin in ANH, we might think it's to cover up the fact that he killed him.

Thats actually pretty plausible considering the look/pause Guiness gives when almost 'winding-up' to tell about Vader. Also, ADM said that he would try and tackle this as well, so hopefully between everyone working on this concept, something good will have to come out of it.

DJ, what a great idea...even though I have Dr. M's Moth3r transfer of this, i'd still be interested in this set because I actually own the LDs of them!
However, do you have any plans to release a P&S capture from this set as well? I'd be interested very much in seeing that alongside it just like the ones you did with your original DJ transfer of the Definitive one.

Of course it would have to be a VHS transfer

Release Format: VHS

Release Date: 1995

Studio: Fox Video

Technical Comments: New THX-Certified 1.33:1 pan and scan or 2.35:1 letterboxed transfers with HiFi Stereo Surround sound

Comments: Pan & Scan versions available separately or in a box set. Letterboxed version available only in "The Widescreen Edition" slipcase box set.

since thats what it's on, but still thats not the worst since it's just a P&S version anyway.

Do you have plans to do such a transfer as well?

Info Wanted: For an Original Trilogy Preservation at my College
Time
Somewhat of an update, while the library still won't take the copy, the other day I decided to have a little fun with their copy of the Definitive laserdisc set. So I checked out the entire thing and did some scanning in the media centers. Here is my result:

Definitive Collection Collage

Oh and the great post-script is that when I returned it to the library, the kid who checked it back in asked, "So does this have any of the horrible new FX & changes in it?"

Long story short is that he is now the proud owner of Star Wars Trilogy set (DarkJedi's), to call his own.

That version will be created, but I'm planning to also do a number of things to make ROTS a better film for my "official" edit." Those ideas are in the first post.

ADM are you still thinking about doing an edit of it that specifically makes it so that Vader's identity isn't revealed? - IE: Preserving the 'real' identity of Vader untill Empire?

Personally I really love such an idea & even more so when you mentioned that you might do such a version awhile back...have you thought about it anymore/still want to do it?
