Headed out a while ago to pick up a cheeseburger for Second Dinner. On the way out, I noticed one of my neighbors is having a huge party. Lots of people running around acting like idiots, being loud and making a nuisance. They were even louder and more obnoxious by the time I came back home. By this point, their communal driveway was completely blocked up and people were shouting and acting a fool.

Originally, I wasn't going to bother about it. They're not hurting anybody. No big deal. But as I turned in to my own driveway, I saw a few Obama/Biden 2012 bumper stickers.

So I called Klein PD.

After the deputy showed up, at least one car (with an Obama bumper sticker!!) ended up getting towed away.

Yes, if those had been Romney/Ryan bumper stickers, I would've let it go. But based purely on political affiliation and no other criteria, I decided to call the police.

More 52%'ers whose vote cost them something. It's not much but it adds up.

Why did I do it? Because I'm a mean, coldhearted bastard and I hate lefties, THAT'S why!

Vindictive bastard. Lol

ROTJ is the best Star Wars film... discuss!

Lucas does deserve Kudos for giving us the story and the universe to begin with. There can be no doubt about that. ANH as the finished article, Lucas deserves maybe 30% of the credit for that. The rest goes to the editing and JW's score. With Empire, his overall influence was minimal. He obviously he had the treatment and gave the ok to this and that, but everything else was left in the hands of others. Jedi, Lucas (even though not directing) was more hands on this time and it showed with the final product. So taking all of this into account how much credit does Lucas actually merit for the Original Trilogy?

you know, it might be interesting to get some the NFL stars to play rugby against some of the other countries.     We'd have to figure out which NFL players would best for the rugby team.   We'd then have to give them some to learn the rules of the game and what not.   With rugby being similar to football, I bet the NFL players would do well.

They've done that. Some Nfl player (think he was wide receiver) can't remember his name, came over and trained with the London Irish rugby team. He came on as a sub in a game aswell. He found it tough going. It was more the endurance side of the game and getting used to having no pads which he found tough. He left with a new found respect for the game.

how do they play such a rough game without pads and have players constantly getting killed/seriously injured?   How is it the all players don't wind up with serious brain damage from concussions?

Well there are injuries, but its never anything overly serious because they're conditioned to tackle in a certain way rather than just looking to obliterate the player with the ball. Obviously these are big, strong guys so they tackle hard. But fair (mostly) if its an unfair tackle then the ref will punish them. As with football. Sorry, futbol (sigh lol)

Apologies I must revise this. It was Dhani Jones and he trained and played a game with Blackheath (the oldest rugby union club in Britain) it was for a series he did for the Travel Channel.

Hilarious reading Osbourne trying to claim credit for this.

He takes away money from the sick and disabled but claims to give us back Star Wars primacy via tax cuts for the mega rich.

I seem to remember a number of Harry Potter films being made here without him being the the chancellor.

Osbourne's a weasly little shit. Quoted at the end of his tweet, 'may the force be with us' (sickbag) he's got one of them faces you'd just love to slap. A big DRY slap.

Actually, Football, Rugby, and Soccer all have a similar sporting ancestry. Check out a run-down of the naming of these sports to relieve at least some of your angst about the testoster-sport. (It's understandable to have residual angst, though.)

Football came first. Rugby was a subsidiary of football and 'American' football evolved from rugby. Fact. I prefer to call it Gridiron.

I've been down that road in these parts, and can say you won't get very far.

Americans love their football and will defend their right to call it football, regardless of the facts that the feet aren't really used much, the "ball" doesn't even match the dictionary definition of ball, and that at the time of naming it another sport already had that name. My theory is that Americans suck at real football so badly, they had to adapt another sport and give it that name, then call the real thing "soccer" and declare it a woman's sport, just to save face in their own sort of way. In America, "football" is the height of testosterone driven sporting, of course, the rest of the world knows what's up and sniggers at this with eyes rolling.

I prefer to call American football "American Padded Rugby". It is like rugby, but for Americans, and with protective equipment to limit booboos.

Couldn't of put it better myself. Kudos to you sir.
