Ah, good to know! There’s already too many Kenobi edits to keep track of, but the GI removal has already been done evidently. Lol

You could make a solid case for removing the Grand Inquisitor as a character altogether for a single-film presentation.

I wonder if anyone’s pursued FX work to remove him from key shots after Vader stabs Reva and when he is standing next to him onboard the Destroyer.

Removing the line, “the same way I will destroy you” makes it now seem like Vader expects to be killed. Like he’s saying, “You’re about to kill me but I beat you to it really.” And when Ben leaves him like that, he’s pissed to be shown mercy or possibly to not be killed again. Shows Vader’s guilt, to have been passed over rightfully being killed twice.

Sounds possible. I just haven’t totally mapped the contents of the show yet so I wasn’t sure if there was anything else there.

In ROTJ, as Luke hides from Vader during their duel, we now find a new motivation for him to lash out in anger toward Vader.

“Your feelings for them are strong. Especially for… Third Sister. So, you know Third Sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her too.”

Later, “Tell Third Sister… you were right.”

To anyone who removes Bail showing up in person on Tatooine, instead going right from their holo-call to Kenobi digging up the sabers, I have a question: How do you suppose he knew which planet to go to?

Single movie format?

Two-part TV movie ala 1990’s “It”?

If the former, you’d have to cut a fit bit to include the Lars and Reva stuff at the end.

Very good, and well done, Spence! That was about as good of a single-film presentation or the series as it is as would be possible to put together. It felt solid, and felt right. The thoughts below are meant to vet it even so, of course.

• I wonder if the opening shot could begin after the pan downward has finished, and looped or stretched to be longer. In other words, to open on a locked shot from the ground which holds a few seconds.
• I believe we meet Lola when we meet Ned-B, and are to assume she’d been in Leia’s pocket the whole time. It was a shame not to keep the dialogue about the Force feeling like turning on the light, so I wonder about how introducing Lola earlier, perhaps when Ben tells her “no noise from that” on city-world, or when Needles breaks her first.
• The series appeared to dance around using the Imperial March, but I feel like making an exception for Vader is right. However, the use of the March for the Inquisitor fortress right after we meet Freck does not involve Vader so I’d suggest removing it from this scene.
• Was a shame to skip the tension of the troopers riding along with Ben and Leia and the ad libbed conversation about her mother. However, it’s removed cleanly.
• I believe Leia asks Reva how Ben died, but that we had not been shown Reva telling her this to begin with.
• Ben gives Leia Lola back at the end, but I don’t think we see that she’d given her to him beforehand.
• The iris transition into end credits is in the wrong direction.

It’s difficult to assess how it’ll work, but I can’t wait to see. That all sounds wonderful!

Only trouble there is I’d feel split between the two! Lol

We’ll see about this in time. Appreciate the thoughts on it.
