Here's my review:
Picture - From what I can tell, it is straight from the laserdiscs with no tampering done to it to improve it. Simply laserdisc. It can look at bit... pixelated if you are really nitpicky, but I have no complaints.
Sound - pure uncompressed PCM audio straight from the laserdiscs. Beautiful.
There are no menus, but that's worth it to have the best quality of the film itself.
There are chapter stops for your convienence.
I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants the DVDs and who doesn't have a widescreen TV.

My ESB laserdisc always had the opening text slightly offset too.
I think the opening text scrolls were redone for the SE.

I've had Star Wars on pan-n-scan SE VHS, widescreen SE VHS, pan-n-scan original Laserdisc, and my *precious* widescreen original laserdiscs.
And soon DVDrs.
