I love the Space Odyssey series. 2001 the movie was my dad's favorite movie and I ended up liking it too. The movie 2010 is terrible, but the novel is the best of any of the four! 2010 is the best book. 2061 was a bit hard to follow, I didn't really like it a lot. 3001 was entertaining, but kind of farfetched.
I haven't really seen any other Kubrick films. Hal 9000 is a good screen name, I think.

And about my ANH edit, I must give credit to AdigitalMan and Darth Editous more than me! Adigitalman for the coaching and direction, Darth Editious for some technical fixes that I borrowed, and Neil for the 97 soundtrack.
Without the source materials, I couldn't have done it.

I finished my work on the ANH edit, which does feature MOST of the soundtrack as being from the 1997 SE audio.

I didn't use your PAL discs for it, s7en. I appreciate them, don't get me wrong! But there's no way I can mix PAL with NTSC. But thanks!
I used Neil's "fixed" soundtrack disc (2004 video with 97 audio) as the base.

Still tinkering and working at the others films tho...

You could run them through DVD Shrink, set for "no region coding" and burn them again.

Depending on the quality of the ROTJ Classic Edition, I may or may not take a stab at editing it. (Or use parts of it for my custom edit even)

Return of the Jedi is very tricky and aggrivating to edit, I've tried restoring it totally to the OOT and it's no walk in the park. Good luck on it, this is the one I want to see the most!

The DVD of Return of the Jedi is the one that needs the most work. Bleh!

I'm editing the films and I just want to wait and let someone else do a better job of cleaning it up themselves. My feeble editing skills are no match for un-crappifying ROTJ>

I'm very pleased with my edits so far, but I'm not doing them for the contest.
I'll happily enter them, of course! But I'm doing them to make the best Star Wars version possible, not to win a contest!

Except ROTJ... they really botchered it good. It still won't be very good. I cant really change most of the things I want to change...

Can anyone send me an mp3 or sound file of the 97 Special Edition that matches the 2004 video? I have a special edition disc but the sound is not in sync for the whole film.

Can anybody with DVD SHrink send me the best possible quality version of the original Shaw unmasking scene?

I don't want to use OOT footage when there's SE footage of the same thing, but my only NTSC copy of the scene is total crap. The OOT version is actually better.

So does anybody have a good '97 SE version of the scene that they can send me? (NTSC)

I am still in the process of editing, but I'll enter mine if they are done by then.

So far I've completed AOTC, on a DVD and everything... Same with ESB... working on ROTJ... still need to do ANH, TPM and eventually ROTS.

I am a Christian and a huge Star Wars buff too.

There are some paralells and similarities between Christianity and the fictitious Jedi, but only to an extent.

I'm editing Attack of the Clones as well. I took out the entire droid factory sequence, as well as the subsequent threepio antics during the battles.

With a few scenes removed, deleted scenes put back in, dialogue trims, and creative cut-arounds... I think it's a much more enjoyable film to watch. Still the least on my Star Wars list, but a lot better at that.
