I’ve got a good 1,134 posts left in me.
I guess that probably wasn’t the right way to word what I meant.
I just meant to say that while it’d be awesome, it’s a hilariously simple request for what would be a massive undertaking.
I think there would be plenty of interest in a surround mix for the theatrical version of ANH that includes all the additions from the mono mix.
Lol, no, just that the first two came to me organically and then you made the mistake of reinforcing it.
And make sure you don’t merely mute any of the audio tracks or there’ll be a dropout. If you’re, say, removing something from the center channel, try adding a duplicate of one or more other channels to overlap in the center channel so that even the center channel remains with sound throughout the entire clip.
I think a flawless Shaw makes more sense given the other ghosts all being their age when they died. I’d be open to it; my “if” was sincere!
And even if it doesn’t make it, it’d be easy to render out a version with Shaw, and perhaps a secondary Google Drive account or something could be linked to to host it.
At any rate, it sounds exciting to explore the concept!
Yep, you and danieldubb both sent me clips to check out tonight, so I’ll see if either work super well or if need changes. (About the only possible time for me to do this stuff is 9-10pm after everyone else went sleepybye.)
I appreciate ya both; it’s a thing from V6 that was a little unfortunate. The other was R2’s reflection on the hospital window, though poppasketti feels it’d be an inordinately large undertaking to attempt to remove it so it’ll remain.
Hi, everyone
Yesterday I asked about if jonh was still doing the force ghost scene with Sebastian Shaw and it seems there’s a notable lack of footage for that to happen
So I did a quick mock-up in FaceApp to showcase that with EbSynth + FaceApp we could somehow create some new footage! (That was how Hayden was slightly aged in that scene to begin with)
I used a picture of Tobey Maguire from Spider-Man 1, along with a colored picture of Sebastian Shaw
This was the result:
Just kidding. It’s eerie, but I really like the idea of exploring this even if it doesn’t quite make sense to include in a full edit. Star Wars seems ripe for many options to explore for Deepfakes and stuff.
Because Hayden in ROTJ does not make sense for that film IMHO.
And thanks for chiming in, jonh! Wishing you well, too!!
Sounds good through my phone anyway. Thanks for taking a try at it. Could you send me the full audio and I’ll see how it does plugged in.
Are there other clone line options? What’s there is fine probably.
Would you recommend watching all your TCW films in the order they’re numbered? (Batch one all the way down the list, batch two all the way down the list, etc.)
And the list above has several episodes to watch on Disney+. Would it be fine to skip these and just watch what you’ve done? I’m more than okay with missing some stuff and getting the best and/or most important parts.
Is what you included in your Siege of Mandalore cut of ROTS available elsewhere in your material, or just there? I don’t want to miss the end of TCW if I skip it.
Also, should I watch (your version of) the TCW 2008 movie first, or is the relevant stuff included in your other TCW film set?
Man, this whole set looks like a TON of work.
Yep, I would welcome any of those, for sure!
And, Luka, that looks fantastic!!
As cool as it’d be to see, I won’t include Anakin in that final scene for this particular project. It doesn’t feel right for the end to this trilogy’s story or to Rey. Plus, it’s a pretty short shot and even having three figures present feels too short. I’m sure it could be extended well enough since the audio is all new anyway, but I don’t think Anakin really belongs there.

Sure thing, I hope to put together a description and source material to send you a little later on. 😃
Oh, I see you posted something right as I did. Without doing a comparison for the moment, I still hear the Chewie voice in the places I expect it. But I’ll be able to sit down tonight hopefully and can review it more carefully and send the full audio source.
Thanks, I’ll send that along. Worst case it’s just what it is.
And the issue was adding a second bandolier to Chewie in that scene, I think, not so much the color change.
Welcome aboard, and thanks for offering help in addition to the shoutout.
I guess if this is a good place to list things, I’m currently tweaking my Episode III edit to remaster the deleted scenes that had been upscaled. One auditory thing that wasn’t perfect about the prior version had to do with Kashyyyyyk. Chewie was recolored to grey in a few shots to portray him as a different wookiee humorously credited as ‘Crunchbacca.’ But, the first scene where Yoda participates in a Council session was only able to have him painted out. However, audio as Yoda leaves his seat still has two wookiee’s conversing. It’s in a few audio channels to the point I couldn’t really remove it without it getting weird.
If you think that might be in your wheelhouse, I can send the raw audio for the sequence. Also, if you’re inclined, I’d sift through the OP for TROS:A’s thread and see if anything jumps out as something you feel you may be able to elevate.
Fortunately, any of those other instances could be patched in with the original audio and still be coherent, even if those specific auditory alterations wouldn’t be included. Just as a worst case.

Just like Leia’s theme as Ben is killed, it’s okay if the music feels right without a logical basis.
I’d heard a little of “The Planets” before, but listening now the impact on Star Wars is immediately apparent. I’m gonna play the whole piece while I’m working. Feels immediately familiar; I’d watch a fan edit with this as an experiment.
Yeah, and all I did was eyeball it with FCP7’s color wheel, swinging away from green/yellow. I didn’t apply it at all for the blacks, somewhat for the midrange, and more for the highlights.
