The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Time

Here’s a list I put together for all movies that involve Infinity Stones plus required for development as in my opinion it helps with understanding Infinity War the most:

Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians Of The Galaxy
Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Captain America: Civil War
Doctor Strange
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2*
Thor: Ragnarok (Sets up A:IW)
Black Panther*
Avengers: Infinity War
Ant-Man And The Wasp (Sets up Avengers 4)

*Only needed for character development

Watched it recently, it’s much better but on a personal subjective level, it doesn’t quite cut out enough for me. Biggest problem is that you left in the kids at the end which now make zero sense in the context of the film. On a technical level it was masterful as always though.

I used to agree with you, but just assume a passage of time. The kids don’t have to be from Canto Bight, they can just be kids anywhere inspired by Luke.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

Something for you to consider:

At the celebration at the end with the soldiers that replaced the matte where you added in the cameos for you and George there is around 4 rows of soldiers on both sides, but in the next shot with the 3 guys walking down the aisle, there are only 2 rows of soldiers on both sides. A small nitpick that would be cool if you could fix it.

SOLO: A Star Wars Story - Fan Edit Ideas Thread
Time

First things I noticed:

Remove opening and “unneeded” text
(A long time… straight to the action)

Trim slug lady at the beginning to have less humor

Recut so Han says his name is “Han Solo” not just Han

Trim overly quippy dialogue from Han throughout the film

If possible, remove Chewie subtitles, we never needed them before and we don’t need them to make the scenes work

Keep, but trim down L3 politics… god some of them were “forced” 😉

Trim over-the-top space monster moments

Cut it so as soon as Beckett goes towards his gun Han shoots him

So I took a shot at removing the latter part of Snoke’s dialogue (“I cannot be betrayed…he kills his true enemy…”), and here’s the result:

The new music is from Torn Apart, which I think is appropriate here because it’s the same track that plays when Kylo kills Han Solo, so it’s kind a mirror. Just an idea I figured I’d share!

I LOVE this

Welp, I lied! I went ahead and did a mockup of that very idea. This would be about what it would sound like if I did it for real, so please vet it accordingly.

Sounds good. I started the music a little earlier in mine because I thought it felt a bit rushed where the music originally started in the scene. Either way, it is still much better than having repeating music back-to-back.
