As long as 20 people here donate at least $4 dollars each month that more than covers it. In my opinion, if you can’t spare $4 a month maybe you should stop reading this and update your résumé. 😜

Also, is there a way we can add some kind of indicator to how much is left before the deadline? It may help to incentivize people to donate.

All of my computers are too outdated to make a quality edit from, or I would attempt one myself. I just don’t have the money to upgrade now.

I would love for an edit that trims the opening and has the Solo title card after the Imperial officer asks Han what his name is. It would go as follows:

Han: “I wanna be a pilot”

Officer: “And your name is?”

Han smirks

I have not seen much editor attention on this movie since it was released, besides color grading.

Which video software are you using?

Could be the cache it is using to process the files. I had similar issues when I made a personal edit. Try seeing if you can adjust the size of the cache during export.

I think it comes to laziness too. People would rather just pass out the cash instead of tracking them down online and making their own disc and case. It’s actually cheaper to do that but as stated before, people can be LAZY.

I would also do a version without “Widescreen Edition” since the majority of movies only come in widescreen now. Covers look great though!

Maybe use the shots of Kylo on the shuttle but somehow replace him with someone else or crop the footage to cut him out.

Rey thinking Luke Skywalker was a myth could stay in, later in the movie Han confirms to her that the Jedi were real and that resolves that part of Rey’s beliefs and allows her to realize that Luke actually was a real person and not just a story. Rey believes in “The Legend of Luke” and everything she’s heard until she meets him in TLJ and has her expectations subverted, fitting with that movie’s theme.

New changes are good to better match with TLJ, please leave in V2 for SKB. I would be willing to view a workprint again when you have one ready 😃
