Hey Chase, any progress on this? Would love to know the status.
Hey Chase, any progress on this? Would love to know the status.
Always glad to offer as many ideas as I can! Cannot wait for V1 to be released. I have been showing the fiancé all the new changes and additions, and as soon as V1 is released we are having a saga watch party.

But it doesn’t, I just checked. It goes from 3-PO to Padme’s funeral to Vader on the Star Destroyer to Leia and Luke.
I used to always want the Yoda scene at the end, but we all know what happens. I don’t think it is too needed. The OG ending wraps up the story of the prequels and leads well into Episode IV.
Mother -> Father -> Daughter -> Son
Sith was never said in the OT…
Actually, there is a deleted scene from the conference room where a Sith Lord is mentioned:

But then why does Palpatine seem to gloat as he describes Darth Plagueis not being able to save himself from being killed? Shouldn’t he just be Plagueis?
Maybe because Palps killed him in his sleep and the person being killed needs to consciously transfer their spirit to a new host?
Does anyone have a link to the 1080p episode 3? The drive link seems to always exceed the download quota before I can grab it. Thanks!
Try copying it to your own Drive. Hal has a FAQ sheet at the root of his shared link that assists with things like this 😉
The reason Palpatine did not die in ROTJ was because his spirit was able to leave his body and possess the clone body. Jonh’s amazing force ghost edit enhances TROS.
The force ghosts with their hands up are preventing Palpatine’s spirit from leaving his body allowing Rey to deliver the final blow.
Luke Skywalker has vanished.
In his absence, a rogue faction of
the NEW REPUBLIC has emerged. Armed
with Imperial assets, the militaristic
FIRST ORDER is tightening its grip on
the galaxy in the name of security.
General Leia Organa, determined to prevent
the mistakes of the past, has established
a covert RESISTANCE to protect the galaxy
from this growing threat.
Desperate for her brother’s help,
Leia has sent her most daring
pilot on a secret mission to Jakku,
where a clue has been discovered
to Luke’s whereabouts.…
What if it can be jumbled together to have Luke, Ben and Anakin say “I’m all the Jedi.” with Rey.
Yoda can say “All the Jedi, I am” too, why not?
I’m an IT Manager. I was getting prepared to whip out all the Mac fixes and tricks, then I scroll down to see it is back up like normal. Computers are something else 😃
Can Poe’s line just be removed?
I would LOVE a link. Thanks!
I just merged the TFA credits and TROS credits music files. In a perfect world, it would include Hal’s lead in with the Skywalker theme, cut to Rey’s, and then finish out with the Star Wars theme. Basically just adding like 6 or 7 more seconds to the audio that Hal is using. But I don’t have that audio track to work off of.
I will still fight for this transition. In my opinion it just flows into the credits SO much better. And I love the end theme starting with the Skywalker theme, then Rey, then the Star Wars theme. Plus how it hits that long note how the Falcon flies away. I think it would be a shame not to have that 🤷♂️
Fabulous.
I think it would be awesome if we could have the force ghosts watch as the falcon flies into hyperspace. The cherry on top!

Would it be worth updating the end for this?

I think his face needs to be a little less transparent and his hair needs a little more fluff. Besides that, great work!
I think it works well!
Well being that Shaw is in Hal’s Ep.6 edit, I’m sure he’d be down for putting it in Ascendant if Jonh delivers!
The beginning can have more of the Skywalker theme lead in. However, I like how it starts with Rey’s theme but ends with just a few notes of the good 'ol Star Wars theme. Gives it that bittersweet ending this saga should have had.
Speaking of the ending, the music transition into “Directed by JJ Abrams” still feels weird. I know it’s been discussed a lot, so sorry if it’s already been decided upon and everything. It’s, like, abrupt and there is no flow or the usual “jolt” feeling you get when the credits roll. It just feels jarring and jump cut in the audio. I’m sure it’s incredibly difficult to get a proper timing with what appears to be two seperate audio tracks, but it’s just not feeling right.
Could it just be because of how we’re hearing the music as the Falcon is slowly entering hyperspace? Is the timing just all out of whack for my liking?
+1, I was a strong supporter of letting the music play out a little more because the timing cuts in perfectly.
I thought this thread was for a discussion of Hal’s edit. Not what is canon versus what is not? Are you editing Darth Jar Jar into the Sith Eternal crowd still???
Hmmm, for the 3PO/trooper moment… I like what RogueLeader came up with. But I don’t have anything else clever in mind.
If you wanna be meta funny
3PO: “excuse me, sir"
Trooper: “hey wait"
3PO: “would you be so kind to…”
Trooper: “you’re that droid!”
Bam ya dead
has any thought been given to trimming the opening notes of burning homestead for the ghost scene to help make the tacked on music flow in a little better? I can post a mockup of it shortly!
I think if the first 2 notes were cut from Burning Homestead it would make the music flow clearer. Cut out the buh buhhhhhhh, before the force theme kicks in and it should have a much more natural sounding transition with the existing music.
