Are the stormtroopers still going to say “Knights of Ren… Ghouls” or are you planning on making them silent and just look at each other? Seems like half of us thought they were saying “cool”.
I would love for them to be silent and just have that look of unease. We don’t need them to give us story details.
Just skimmed the Workprint. Loving all the changes. Gray Exegol rocks! Only issue I noticed is that the rest of the LUT makes the picture a LOT warmer and more red.

JEDIT: Almost there! Looks like the Star Wars logo is a little bit too big. Maybe make the white lines a tad-bit thicker. Other than that, it looks amazing!

Are you able to make the purple hue a stronger red? It might make it seem like a conflict with the blue on the left and red on the right. Just a thought!

Any project updates? It’s been pretty quiet in here the past few days.
I mocked up the ending with the cockpit shot (music-only) and I think it actually makes the final music track smooth out a lot nicer towards the end!
I also increased the warmth of the cockpit shot to simulate the sun through the windows.
It would be cool to include R2 and maybe D0 behind BB-8 at the end.

Another note too, would it be worth it trying to extend Anch-To by including an establshing shot of Luke’s hut before Rey is gifted Leia’s lightsaber?
Why did Hux’s “I’m the spy.” line get removed in WP V3?
Poe and Finn’s reactions feel kinda jarring without the line. Plus I thought it was kinda funny too. Like it or not Hux is the First Order’s Jar Jar haha
The next new stormtrooper 3po joke is hilarious but the voice line sounds like it was obviously added in. I think the audio there could maybe use a little reworking or maybe a better filter.

Great idea I saw mentioned on another thread… have the force ghosts watch the Falcon fly off into the sunset during the ending. One last Luke looking at the suns shot and seeing Rey off.
Glad I was FORCEful on the restructure. Glad to hear the positive feedback for V2 😃
Maybe you could still include the shot of Rey looking at the Death Star. If we have the dialogue, we can have her say “I feel it”.
Which then cuts to the riders approaching.
Finn:

Boolio:
Yeah, sounds like they stumbled upon an old Imperial fleet, at least the spy said so.
Finn:
“A spy? Who?”
Boolio:

I think one thing that makes restructuring the opening feel wrong is that even though we hear “the Falcon still hasn’t reported in,” we see Poe and Finn appearing to just start their mission. The reason it took so long to get back was because Poe screwed up the Falcon with his shenanigans.
That could also be assumed to be they haven’t reported in to say they got to the ice planet or met up with the spy. Either or 🤷♂️

pw: faneditI also agree with the slight reordering of the opening scenes to break up the Ajan Kloss material! It improves the pacing greatly by making it feel like time is passing, and flows more naturally from the dialogue.
I’m slowly getting convinced that you aren’t human with how quick you pump out new effects lol. Plus the restructure is something I was a strong advisor for.

Falcon gets message from Bolio and we cut to new establishing shot of Ajan Kloss and Rey reading the texts with “Rey, the Falcon’s back!”
I’ll mock something up later for this. I think I have a good idea for fixing the abruptness of the ending of the ice wall scene
- I’m not a huge fan of the Palpatine “Find Me” with the wayfinder. It buries the lead of the reveal that is about to happen in the very next scene and lays on the device’s purpose a little too thick while the new crawl will already establish that as is.

If we remove Leia knowing than it would likely be best to also remove her line to Rey of “Rey, never be afraid of who you are.”
