That’s an interesting take! Because I’m obsessed with crawl-writing, I took a stab at your new idea, although somewhat different. I think it is good to establish the First Order as a threat off the bat, especially given the Jakku village scene that kicks off the film.

Have the old graphics transition into Ady’s existing Revisited version… so yeah!

R2 plugged into the Death Star right? Maybe he downloaded v2

I would love to see the plans morph (extract from .zip file haha) from the OG/RogueOne version to the enhanced ones from the original Revisited, just colored white instead of read.

Just a few suggestions if you are open to them:

• Boba Fett, depending on how it goes, potentially use Hal9000’s alternate jetpack scream and “death” audio with Temuera Morrison. It sounds a lot less cartoony than the original '83 version.
• Add the Ghost from Rebels to the space battle
• Edit in the door for Palpatine’s vault in the throne room, the one Rey goes in to get the Wayfinder in Episode IX
• Remove the shockwave from Death Star II (not sure if already planned) and alter the explosion so it appears that Death Star II is intact enough to be what is in Episode IX
• Smooth the original jump cut for where the celebration scenes were inserted in '97

If memory serves right… I believe there was a comparison posted and the difference between native and upscaled was almost impossible to tell.

It was definitely a letdown. Hopefully they release an additional trailer before the show because this did not get me excited for it at all.

Hal’s Legendary is a little more reserved with its edits, however, Poppa’s Rekindled is more heavy. If things like Leia Poppins bothered you, then Poppa’s is the way to go, if not Hal’s!

Okay that makes sense. I have the most recent version and did not see the talked about second audio track.

Is there still going to be an update that adds the Temuera Morrison second audio track for Boba Fett? There are some great dialogue “updates” that could be used from some of the games where he voiced Jango/Boba.

This looks absolutely incredible.

I’d say just leave Boba’s “death” alone. There is nothing wrong with the original version. He’s dead for fans who don’t like the new shows but alive for those who do.
