I dunno how feasible it is... but I would like that. i know you probably can't have all the alternates too, but it might be cool to have an isolated score.
As stated, I can supply it. I think I'm going to rewatch the movie in a bit and just see if there's anything I can catch sound wise or what not.
And Adywan, I know that you probably have a very gifted team of individuals working on the film, but if you ever need a hand, let me know.
I have been working in music remastering for a while...even as a hobby... but I've managed to get quite a bit of acclaim... not to mention I've amassed a large Star Wars SFX library not to mention the original Lucas Film sfx library, from which MANY sound effects are sourced.
I'd love to help out if there is anything you need.
Hell, for Jurassic Park Legacy, we were doing a Film Cannon mod for Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis so I had to recreate a lot of the dinosaur sfx from those ...and for some that weren't in the film long like the Corythosaur, I had to make new sounds which I did and I have to say, sound really nice. hehehe

I want to redo Episode I but that will take a lot of time.
ET will also take a little bit of time but not as much. My Original Edit was about half right. Somewhere along the line I lost my way and started editing the tracks to how they're heard in the film, rather than presenting the complete score. Don't ask. Not sure why. lol

And let me explain.
The FTP where all my edits were stored was wiped in a maintainence thing... I redid the site where you can access them, but after my computer started acting up, I didn't want to risk playing with the files or anything becuase of how my computer was acting.
I'm on my new one now but even that took a while as the first hard drive I bought died... I am on my old computers hard drive, but in the new computer now lol
So... things are acting a bit odd still BUT!!!
Back by popular demand, I will begin reuploaded all my scores EXCEPT Episode I.
I've decided to redo it. I have learned a great deal since my inital attempt, and after I finish the set I'm working on now which I will only call "TOD," I will begin work on Episode I again.

But hey, it does use the English version of Lapti Nek... is there more of that in the video!?

I know for ANH you went back and did some adjusting on the score... are you doing the same here?
And out of curiosity again, the finale sequence...
It was scored once by williams. Then Lucas adjusted it and lengthened it.
Then he rescored it.
The final film still presents the extended version BUT, instead of using the rescore, they track in music from elsewhere, and then cut to the original scoring .
Would it be worth maybe testing the finale with the extended rescore?
Also, are you planning on doing a music only track with all the unused music?
I've already done an expanded, complete score... If you need good mixes, I'd be happy to supply you with them. I am more than capable. What you do with visuals, I do with sound ;-)

and I seriously thought it had crashed. I notice that the light thats on it doesn't glow as brightly as it use to... so I'm really freaked out that it's dying so I'm trying not to strain it at the moment...
my DVD player in my computer has always died I think as it doesn't work very reliably...
So... suffice it to say I'm thinking my computer is on its way out...so I'm a bit afraid of doing too much with it at the moment. I hope to put them all back up soon though. It just takes soooo long..

so I used those. But they could have been wrong as I don't have to booklet to compare it to. If someone does for the SE of ANH, could they check that... I believe they are correct though... although I think two cues which were like "Story of a Jedi Knigh (I)" and "Story of a Jedi Knight (II)" I took the liberty of changing the name of those sorts of instances to keep one as correct and rename the other... that's really the only liberty I took...

Ok... I'm gonna say this..
The sets done...
hehe...Thank you for the great responces... but I can't put all that on the set. NO one will download it.
What I WILL do is create A "Star Wars: Odds and Ends" cd of all this stuff... but I think the track list I have now is closed.
I know NOTHING about all this MOOG stuff past what people have sent me lol...so if there are things past what I included, they'll go on the other disc... not in this set.
Sorry to close it but seriously, if we think about it, there is a LOTof stuff I could put on it... but how much of it is truly worthy of it?
All I'm trying to do is present the score.... and then some good concert arrangements... and that's really the only intent of this.
If I wanted a set that showed the historical impact musically the score had... I could go on and on forever about it!... so I think I'll stop it right here...
If you have any suggestions further, if they sound like they'd belong on the set, say so... otherwise, say they'd belong as an Odds and Ends stuff because some of this stuff is great... but we seriously could turn this into a 6 disc set veeeery fast.... and it woudln't be that listenable. You'd skip half the tracks and only listen to one.
So... thanks for the great responce though lol

As far as the cuts in that one video you said you were unsure of... the music fades out pretty much after Luke falls out of the Wampa Ice Lair... most of the rest of that cue is completely unused. It remains unused until Chewie leans his head against the railing after the doors have shut and it double iris' out to Luke in the snow... the rest of that is pretty much there although I raised it in the mix. Then you have the unused intro and ending to Snow speeders.
I love the original Probe Droid... but some people really don't...
As for how to end it so that you can have the silence inside Echo Base up until Han says "well so long princess." and she runs after him, I'm not sure what you could insert... but I'm certain there's something...

One such I think is the extended "Rebel Fleet and Finale." It fits over the sequence, they just choose NOT to use it. (Make sure you use the correct, extended edition one).
What might also be interesting is having an alternate score track to the film... so much of the score isn't used or is only partially used or alternates are used... that it would be cool to see the film as it was intended.
One thing I want to recommend off the bat... the tracked fanfare of Han riding his taun taun into Echo base after Luke is attacked should be replaced with something else.
Not neccesarily the original music... as I can see why it's not used... but something else.
I also think that the opening to "Imperial Walkers" should be Re-inserted... and perhaps even replace the tracked music for the opening of "Snowspeeders take flight" with the original music.
If you want to see what some of the scenes look like with the original music, check out my vids:
Probe Droid Alt
Wampa Ice Lair -etc
Probe Droid
Yoda
EDIT: It might also be worth moving around some sequences... like... between Han and Leia arguing about Chewie needing a good kiss to then 3PO and R2 talking about flooding the princess's chambers... you could insert some of Luke into there I think... just an idea. I tried keeping up with this thread but it got away from me so I apologize if I'm too late or beating a dead horse.
I also volunteer to rebuild any sfx/music mixes you want. I have tons of Star Wars sfx... and I'm the music guru lol can even output in 5.1 for you :-p

At the same time... Anakin had a theme but after Episode I, I think Williams was so disenchanted with the whole project he didn't really care enough to mold it to Episode II.
Jar Jar had a theme... but his character didn't last long in the public eye.
Duel of the Fates was a good motif but was over used outside of the film, and in Episode I. It did add some cohesion.
Arguably though, the prequels had more thematic development. Williams had no intention for his themes to grow and develop in the OT because there was no plan for V or VI when he did ANH.
The Prequel Trilogy had the potential for development but I think Williams kinda... didn't care after how much his score was butchered in Episode I... and how DIFFERENT Episode II is compared to the look or feel of Episode I.
Some of it came back for III but not as much as I think ahd been intended.

just wanted to let you know that a good friend of mine is working on getting some GREAT cover art for my sets done.
Right now, the sets aren't yet reuploaded but they soon will be.
I also wanted to say that the missing link, Episode IV should be completed in a day or so.
Why, you might ask, did I decide to do that one?
The answer is simple: the score is a classic and it deserves a better release. The score as heard on the SE is a bit flat and dry.
I rebirthed the score and also collected all the alternate takes that leaked out over the years by accident through the Anthology or the Album edits.
I'm also including concert suites, the radio drama music, etc.
A track list is coming soon.
Also, if anyone is interested, I'm working on another complete edit... SpaceCamp. It's a great Williams score and has some cute moments and kinda rides on the heels of Star Wars a few times with characters quoting it lol...
But anyways, it's one of my favourite scores and that'll be up soon too so keep an eye out.

These changes sound very interesting and I'd like to see where this goes.
The idea of changing up some of the asteroid field is interesting, but as mentioned, the music would then have to be butchered... and I'm not sure how well that'll work. You could probably loop a section or so though...

He's DEFIANTELY not where they placed him. He's for small government... so I don't quite understand that and I kinda doubt the accuracy of the test... although the others as far as I saw seem to be accurate except Hillary who should be a bit more Authoritarian.
The other problems is that "right wing/left wing" have switched as of late. It use to be that conservatives believed in Small government, small budgets, no wars, no global interferenece and such...
but looking at how it is today, I almost question the veracity of saying "right" or "left" without giving perhaps somewhat of a clearer statement as to what each means especially seeing as they seem to think that Ron Paul and Hillary Clinton are only a few ticks apart which is perhaps the most absurd statement that anyone could make.
