Brosnan is no longer Bond, Daniel Craig is now Bond.

I also think that things might be looking good for the franchise now. It almost seems as if the business is in a Star Wars backlash, rebelling against the huge hype for special effects and going for things that are much more gritty and character-driven. So maybe it's a good time for Bond to come back. And I like the one picture that was posted here of Craig.

If George had only changed Special effects for the SE and DVD, would people have complained as much?

I still don't think that any of it really needed a makeover. It was nice to see, but when it was all said and done, the movies were and still are strong enough to stand on their own. I think Lucas suffers from confidence issues. Or money-making issues.

When I was watching Star Wars earlier this week (the original version, duh!) I thought about the part where the ships take off. You know, that first shot when they leave the planet, and the lookout's in the tower. In the special edition, the CG ships turning around right next to him looked pretty cool, but I noticed they just didn't have the urgency those little bright dots in the distance had.

Sorry for the disruption--won't happen again.

Heh, I'd forgotten I actually posted that. I thought I was just thinking about posting that. I think what worries me the most is it becoming more of a general sci-fi site. I guess I have some questions about that. It'll still be originaltrilogy.com, right? The petition will still be around, and we'll still be mainly Star Wars, right? Will General Star Wars still be its own section, or will it be lumped in with General Sci-Fi? Or will those be two different categories?

When the special editions first came out, I liked them. I liked them as an alternate version of Star Wars. I could watch my original tapes if I wanted, or I could watch the special edition if I wanted. It was only when I found out that the special editions were being treated as the only Star Wars that I got upset. Therefore, I don't like any of the changes simply because they're changes, and what came before them are now gone for all official purposes.

NES games that you haven't beat

Well, I'd recommend the basics, like your Marios, and your Zeldas, and your Mega Mans. Duck Hunt is always addictive if you can get it. I've been having a lot of fun with Punch-Out lately. Kung-Fu is pretty good as well. Brings back memories, that one does. Final Fantasy... I spent $50 on eBay for it this past January (I made sure it came with everything it was originally packaged with, that's why it cost so much), and that game is really fun. Paperboy. Mmm. Fun but frustrating.

Well, I hope that helps you out.
