Hey, whatever. You have to admit that "Give him it back" is funny. It's like Engrish, ya know? And, yes, HLF and Shim, I am very, very anal about spelling and grammar. It's quite amusing sometimes since my fiancee is very, very bad at spelling (not as bad Shim, but, hey, we can't all be the king ^_~), so I'm always correcting her.

EDIT: And since this is the things we hate thread, and it's in line with my post, I hate most internet slang like lol and plz and omg and all those other things I made fun of when I was blogging on whatever thread that was.

Yes, I loved the retard zoo stuff. Actually, I've loved pretty much all his posts. But as far as the two of them being gone, well, I haven't had much of a problem with AWK myself since he came back, except for a few times. I must have nerves of steel or something, but he never got on them as much as everybody else. At least he had some intelligent posts. It was battlewars that got really annoying. Half of his posts were always edited to being empty, and I never quite understood that. And the other half were the same, "the prequels suck!!!!" line regurgitated ad infinitum. But the effect that their presence was having on the boards collectively makes me feel that it was done for the greater good. Reading through all the posts in the retard zoo thread made me worried that the entire forum was about to unravel.

Holy shit! I was about to go to bed last night, and I notice this stupid little thread's been started for no apparent reason. I come back tonight, and suddenly it's been relocated to Off-Topic and has gotten five pages worth of posts?! What the bloody hell?! I know me posting here isn't going to help anything, but I just had to get this off my chest. While I particularly don't give a damn one way or the other if someone talks about how they pleasure themselves, Stinky-Dinkums is right! Retard Zoo!

Yeah, Gundark, I believe I said that earlier in the thread. I'm not quite sure who you were targeting with that idiots remark, but it did seem a little unnecessarily hostile. I'd still liked to have seen the previews, etc. on the DVDs.

It should be clear that I was targeting Fox as being the idiots in this case. I don't call names on the forum. There may be people who annoy me on the forum, but I'm not going to stoop to name calling when a well-placed and chosen sarcastic remark will work just as well.


Now that you've explained it, it does make sense. But the way I'd always read it seems to be implying that those who didn't know what Fox did were the idiots. And I know I've never seen you name-call before, so that made it all the more surprising.

Yeah, I hear you. Actually, my biggest fear after I posted that was that you'd reply by saying, "Actually, that was originally a British song. You Americans think you own everything?" or something like that. Yeah, shows my knowledge of music or lack thereof...

But at least we Americans didn't miss out on The Beatles.

Yeah, I totally agree that there's nothing wrong with it. To paraphrase my pastor (which is not to say that my opinions on alcohol are necessarily formed by my religion, but that he said this recently, and I thought it was a pretty interesting view that I happen to share), he said that (contrary to what most people think of Southern Baptists, which is what I am) he didn't think alcohol was wrong, and that he used to drink. But he came to the realization that it doesn't really do anybody any good, but it has the potential to do harm, so he came to the same conclusion you did (the 'fuck it' part may or may not have actually been spoken ) and stopped. And especially since I come from a family that is pretty bad with addiction, I just don't see the point in getting involved.
