I don't think he'll be helping you anytime soon, actually, since he was banned. Like Darth Simon, I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around that explanation. In fact, I think I can refute it using solely current Lucas-based canon. Okay, you say the midichlorians, which are now, somehow, sentient, decided to high tail it once Anakin became Darth Vader. So that would essentially mean that Darth Vader had absolutely no Force abilities. And I think you're right about that. Darth Vader sucked at the Force. I mean, he only Force-choked people in three movies, put up a pretty good fight against Obi-Wan twice, kicked Luke's ass, and talked to him telepathically. Nope. No sign of Force abilities there. I mean, are you trying to say that the Dark Side functions on some other microscopic sentient organism that also has a moral bias? If so, what are they called? Monochlorians? Because I've never heard of them. And I'm certain that the dark side does use your basic midichlorians, based on Palpatine's monologue about Darth Plageius. "He could even manipulate the midichlorians themselves to create life." So, yeah, please clarify where you developed that theory.

And again Ingo, your posts make zero sense if you don't actually tell us what it is that messed with your head...but besides that, I fail to see how Pixar could have envisioned such a negative reaction to their film, a) because it does not seem to be a universal reaction and b) seems to be related to something specific to a negative childhood experience of yours.

BTW, I thought it was a very clever stab at the litigation age we have entered to have citizens suing superheroes left, right, and centre! It's not too far from the truth, either - if I saved someone's life giving them CPR, and I broke one of their ribs in the process, they could probably sue me.

Yeah, I loved that concept. Really hilarous. Of course, in real life contexts, it does make you grumble about the overabundance of litigation. Seriously, what kind of idiot would sue you for giving him CPR?

I hate my sons first grade teacher, real pain in the ass.

What do you mean kids cant push each other on the snow hill?!?!

I have the same problem in 2nd grade when I accidentally elbowed a girl in the face.

I had the same problem in kindergarten when a friend of mine and I were playfighting over a tube of Elmer's glue when it accidentally squirted all over her arm. It didn't seem to bother her (just a risk of the game), but my teacher, who was a real... ehhh, don't want to mince words, but he had it in for me, immediately punished me for doing it on purpose. Ass.

Well, since the NSA files on the extras are supposed to have bios on all the superheroes, and all the ones shown were either Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone, and the ones who were killed in cape accidents or by Syndrome, then it seems very likely.

I liked how they treated it like not everything could be perfect. Most kids' films are too sanitary anyway. I loved lines like, "They will kill you if they get the chance." It makes the danger more real. And it's not as though they showed every superhero getting killed. It was just information on the screen. The DVD extras do make you know those superheroes a bit better, but it's not graphic, and you don't get upset because these are people you know. The emotion comes from what it does to Bob, who you do know and should feel a connection with at this point. As far as the other deaths, the cape montage that Edna gives is the funniest thing in that entire movie. It cracks me up every time. I'm glad they didn't dance around death and have bad guys be beaten but escape, and see parachutes off in the distance, or make some cop out line like, "He's in the hospital." Ah. Now I suddenly have the need to watch that movie again. Awesome stuff!

I feel that Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu both died simultaniously. That is why the young Anakin ghost appears at the end of Jedi. He ceased being a Jedi at that moment and fully embrased the Dark Side and his new name, Darth Vader. I think his spirit went in "limbo" at that point, maybe helped by Qui Gon or something. He had little traces of good in him still as Darth Vader, but it wasn't until he saved his son at the end of RotJ that he redeemed himself and his spirit was set free. He had for the most part done no good as an old man, which is why the spirit appeared as it did.

Yeah, he barely did do any good as an "old man," except that that was the point he redeemed himself, like you said, therefore becoming Anakin again. Geez, I've already typed this out before. I have to wade through your posts. The least you could do is address mine!

CREATE-A-CHARACTER
Time
Well, I'm too lazy to worry about creating and/or posting and/or scanning and uploading my South Park picture, so I figured I'd use this opportunity to post a picture of myself from the Theatre department's recent Winter formal, Snow Ball.

http://photos-802.facebook.com/n10/142/81/6501858/n6501858_30256802_6829.jpg

It's not the best picture of me since I was caught rather unawares, and the light makes me look much lighter than I usually am. A friend of mine asked if I was channeling Lennon at the time, though, and I thought that was really cool.
