Beyond hope...
Time
Yeah, I was a never a fan of the decision to make Yoda CG. And it got even worse when the DVD came out, and the people on the commentary gushed how great he was every time he appeared on screen. It was so irritating.

And, THX, even though I've said it before here, it's still a little bit embarrassing, but I didn't think that Sidious and Palpatine were the same person until long after Attack of the Clones. It's not as bad as it sounds. I mean, I knew Palpatine became the Emperor (duh!). I simply thought it was far too obvious to have this black-cloaked guy be him too. I thought that Lucas was either trying to fool the audience with this lookalike Sith or, storyline-wise, was supposed to be Palpatine's master, explaining why Palpatine would go for a similar look once he came to power. To this day, I feel that I gave him too much credit.

It was a joke. In an episode of SNL, Barbie admits that Skipper is really her daughter when she'd had a fling with a Han Solo action figure. "You slut!" Skipper cries. "He's not even our scale!"

Nintendo Wii
Time
Well, the so-called r is a sound in between the English r and l, so it's neither really. I never expected Nintendo to stick with Revolution. It was a working name, like its past two systems have had. Remember Project Reality and Project Dophin? Or should I say Nintendo 64 and GameCube?

And, sean, I love your sig pic so so much! Where did you get it?! Point me in the direction!

It's always to get ye flask! I love trying to get ye flask! But if you're looking for Easter Eggs, Zion, an easy way to do it is to go to the Homestar Wiki at www.hrwiki.org. But if you consider that to be cheating (I never go there straight away, I always attempt myself first) then an easier way to find Easter Eggs is to simply hit the tab key repeatedly. If there's something to click on, it will be highlighted in a yellow box. Then just press enter. It certainly makes it easier to find those in the lines of text at the end.

Super Mario Super Show and Captain N
Time
I still have plenty of tapes from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, so I'm not likely to forget about it pretty soon. My favorite show as a young tyke. The live-action Mario and Luigi were much more faithful than the movie. Did anyone notice that, even though the characters were played by the same actors, they both had totally different personalities in the live-action segments as opposed to the main cartoon? In the live-action segments, Mario was a bumbling idiot to Luigi's rather calculating straight man. In the cartoons, Mario was the heroic one, and Luigi was the traditional cowardly sidekick.

An exact quote from Lucas on Greedo shooting first.
Time
Yeah, I was about to ask if anybody had reference to the screenplay. That proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Lucas just accidentally neglected to film that footage the first time around. Dirty, dirty, dirty rotten liar!

I find it a little bit sad that Mark Hamill has been confused by the whole Han/Greedo exchange and ended up answering the question wrong.

But reading Ann Crispin's quote made me realize that, if Lucas wanted to change Han's intentions, he went about it the wrong way. He should have cut out all the close-ups of Han pulling his gun out while Greedo was talking to him. And then have Greedo fire. And then add the deleted clips back in in fast motion of Han pulling his gun out of his holster, and then firing. But then again, he always has half-assed it, hasn't he?

And jturd, Greedo wouldn't have had to drag Han back to Jabba's palace. Jabba was already at the spaceport and sent Greedo out as a gofer. Yes, I know that scene is special edition, but it was actually originally planned (imagine that!) and in the novelization written before the movie came out, so I consider it canon. I just don't want to see it on my screen because it's redundant and not central to the plot of the story. But he was there.
