So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good Night ...

No, I'm not leaving this board, simply going to bed.

I really do like "The Sound of Music" though.

Yeah, Sound of Music is really good, except now you've forced that song to be stuck in my head!

But, yeah, you had me worried, too, especially since ric just left. None of us want a mass exodus of awesome posters. But when I opened it, I realized it was the funniest thing I'd read all night. Good stuff, ADM.

Now I'm off to plot my vengeance against you for jamming that song into my brain.

The vocalizing in the PT.
Time
Yeah, I love the vocalization on the approach to Cloud City. Hell, it's one of my favorite pieces of music in that entire movie. And I think Empire's score has some of the best pieces in the entire trilogy. I get where you're coming from, though, but I really don't think it was the vocalizing that was detrimental to the PT's score. It was all the tracked music they used (especially in Sith) that gave it a really used TV-esque feel to it.

Geez, you seem to take constructive criticism as a type of martyring for the subject. I wasn't bullying you. I wasn't questioning your intelligence, the rest of the content of your post, or your overall contribution to the site. I don't think I'm better than anybody else. I just saw a minor mistake that I'd seen a lot of lately and felt the need to point it out. So just calm down already and enjoy viewing your astronomically large television! ^_~

I'm sorry to be nit-picky, but it's been happening a lot, and it's starting to get on my nerves.

foot= '
inch= "

If you do happen to have a 62-foot HDTV, then I apologize, dark_jedi. And even if you don't, don't take this message the wrong way. I'm not trying to call you out or anything. I just had to say something after having seen this several times on these boards by various members over the past few days.

Well, honestly, I haven't been on a Star Wars kick in a while, so I haven't watched the movies in a couple of months. But basically, I don't mind watching them on a standard TV, because the flaws aren't really noticeable there. I never watch it on my computer anymore, because, for some reason, the DVD playback software I had that allows me to zoom in is no longer functioning, and the only other one I have doesn't have a feature to adjust for letterbox, and I just can't watch it like that with two sets of borders.

Video Games - a general discussion thread
Time
I never thought they looked dated. They were just of a more cartoony-style. I mean, it was one of the few games of that time that actually had character sprites facing in all eight directions. Not even A Link to the Past or FFVI (not entirely sure on FFVI, but I'm pretty sure it didn't) had that. But, anyway, it was super popular in Japan but didn't live up to Nintendo of America's expectations (and huge, expensive marketing campaign), so it was pretty much a failure over here. Sad but true.
