DOCTOR WHO- THE FIVE DOCTORS- EXTENDED EDITION (Released)

Could be Tom has a big Heart?

little side story:

I used to work for an AM radio station in New Jersey {WCTC 1450 AM} in the early 80's as a part time Polka Show engineer {I joke not}after high school for Bernie Goydish {and I'm not Polish...}, and one day into the studio walks Patrick {Dr. Who #2} Troughton! Well I was a huge fan of Dr. Who from PBS, so I was like "WOW"! *Drewl*

He was there to do an interview on a local show, as he was going to be at Creation Comic Convention later that day in Princeton (35 min. South}. Well as he was doing the show, I ran home so fast and got my copy of...

for a Sig {And I did get it right over a full color full page photo of him!}.

Well the fun part of the story is that I got to drive him to Princeton in my mom's car. The poorly organized people he was with had too much stuff in their cars, and I offered my car for use, not knowing it was going to transport Doctor Who! It was just the two of us talking about all kinds of stupid shit.. He liked working with Donner {I had to ask him} and he was just so NICE! I was just some nobody kid, and he was so joyful a person to respect me as he did.
He was so happy that people loved him and his work. No joke or cliche. I could see that "pride in work" in the man. He was older and I could tell not in the best of health, but not from his manner nor whit. I'm sorry, but all this is just coming back to me now {sings: Memories… Memoooories… } and the man should be remembered for being so kind to his fans! In a way it was very much like that Chris Farley with Paul McCartney skit on SNL.
{NOTE: I’ve never met Chris Farley with Paul McCartney, or Chris Farley or Paul McCartney alone. ;-} But I would like to meet Paul}

I hope you don't mind me sharing that with you guys.

"RED CURTAINS: Twin Peaks Retold" Fanedit (Released)
Time
Just got the DVD set, and the LD transfers for season 2 and pilot so the edit starts....

This is where I will need the most help from the people who wanted to lend a hand.
I'll be sending out PMs soon.

We got this for the extras:

http://www.geocities.com/gurukenn/tpvs_f.jpg - http://www.geocities.com/gurukenn/tpvs_b.jpg
Reveiw of 12-inch LD from DVDLaser.com: The import is a duplication of the 52-minute Twin Peaks Soundtrack album (the quality of the audio is indistinguishable from the CD), set to a videotape tour of Snoqualmie Valley, North Bend, and Fall City, Washington. Every attempt is made by the video's director, Taku Sukeda, to use duplications of the best known camera angles from the television series as starting points for each segment. The cameras then expand the field of vision to reveal the "real" locations where major portions of the series were shot. With apparent deliberateness, there is a heavy overcast throughout the shoot, obscuring the peaks of the surrounding mountains and maintaining, to some degree, the atmosphere evoked by Angelo Badalamenti's music. A historical background of the Snoqualmie Valley's logging industry is also touched upon. The picture on the disc is consistently sharp and accurately colored. Indifferent viewers will likely find the program to be a bore, but dedicated fans will delight in the way that Sukeda manages to "see" the same eerie alienation within the locations that the producers of the television series saw and were inspired by, and also in his exploration of the way that the series has itself affected the area's economics. The video ends with a lingering pan across a whole counter of Twin Peaks souvenirs, which do not seem the least bit out of place, either in the real Twin Peaks locations or the fantasy they inspired.

If any of you know {or don't} of the Claymation artist Bruce Bickford, you should check out his Twin Peaks related project.
This man worked for Frank Zappa and he, and his clay work are seen in the movie "Baby Snakes" among others. This is some kewl clay work, and NOT for the kids...

Idea: Fakes on a Plane!!
Time

Posing as a group of supermodels on an International photo shoot, a radical group of incredibly Hot Christian fundamentalist terrorists board an airline flight with danger in mind. What no one knows is that hiding in their chests are explosive gel Brest implants. An unsuspecting young Muslim exchange student must join with his bosom buddy to stop this disaster before these knockers knock this flight from the sky!

It’s late, and I was tired of editing the “Thunderball” isolated soundtrack… Back to the grind…

With Tongue Firmly Planted in Cheek...

Sorry, but the overblown (and vastly undeserving] hype this film has received is yet another firey sign that the apocalypse is upon us all! With all that is in the news, it almost seems perverse to revel in this dreck… But, as long as we all keep our collective heads is the sand, “Sheiks on a Plane” may not be the worst vice…

Hey FF, instead of having movie 1 be a re-edit of Fire Walk With Me, please consider using it as flashbacks of sorts throughout your series. This would solve a couple problems:

1. Twin Peaks does PERFECT intros of some of the characters. Those intros wouldn't have the same impact if those characters are introduced by showing the "after-the-fact" prequel first.
2. FWwM is R-rated, while the TV show is obviously PG at most. If you intersperse FWwM, all of your final films could have that same adult feel as a the rest of Lynch's films.
3. FWwM gives away some pretty big spoilers.

It would also contribute to the overall story arc of your trilogy of films since the FWwM plot could unfold over all of them.

Just my 2 cents. Whatever you do with it, I'll experience them with an open mind (and dropped jaw).

Lots of good stuff there... An edit of FWwM was never part of my plan, but I did want to use footage from FWwM in "Red Curtains". My plan is to change the flow of the story from cooper looking for the Killer, to The Killer avoiding Cooper, and the dark activates of a small "innocent" town that hinder that investigation and let the killing that started in FWwM continue. This project would flow as a sequel to FWwM.

I've got all who want to be part of this project on a list. Looks like I'll start the edit in late October after I return from vacation.

The so called "Teaser Video" was just something I made from Midnight - 4 AM the other night when I was very bored.
Please just take it for what it is....

DANG! You gave away the secret extra! http://www.trucsenvrac.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif

*Snicker*

Well anyway, I do have this Japanese laserdisc set up as an extra.

More to come...

I've been looking into this new Twin Peaks DVD box set I've seen people speak of around here, but no solid info on a release or contents can be found.

With this in mind, I am going to go with using Laserdisc rips as my sorce.

There should be a teaser trailer for "Red Curtains" posted soon.

This is the only info I can seem to dig up:

BANNED BOND: The Criterion Collection on DVD (Released)

Thanks again for doing this, can't wait to get the others! (Dr No and From Russia With Love are two of my all time favourite films, let alone Bond flms).

Thanks for your kind words about the project. To change the audio selection, please use your DVD players remote. We should have made a menu option for the audio, but this was only the second time we had ever made menus. Dr. No & Goldfinger each have a 3rd audio program (Music and Sound Effects Only), and FRWL has 2. I'm working hard to get "Thunderball" out in the next few weeks.

FanFiltration of the Planet of the Apes RELEASE THREAD (cancelled project - official product released)

Dude, just don't puss out on the end of BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES. That whole "night of the fires" part of the speech just doesn't belong there. The scene should end "Is upon you... NOW!" You can hear McDowall's voice change during that extra "softening" bit. Here Ceasar really backs off.

The change in voice is strange, but I just love that "Tonight you have seen The Birth of the Planet of the Apes" line.

The film does not end after that scene, it goes on. I just faded it out for the preview. We can't just have Caesar and the Apes bring down the human race, the humans must do that for themselves in the story arc. The point of the project is to just tweek the films so that it's told in a new shorter way, not change the point or outcome of original story.

FanFiltration of the Planet of the Apes (PREVIEW)
This is a preview of "FanFiltration of the Planet of the Apes"

A "FAN-EDIT" OF ALL 5 ORIGINAL APES STORIES RETOLD AND RE-EDITED INTO ONE HUGE
5 1/2 HOUR EPIC!

This scene is called "Mass of the Bomb" and it's a strange one!
If you know this scene from the original, then you know what has been done
here. The soundtrack has been replaced with one re-recorded for the Soundtrack
Album. It moves faster, and is trippy!

Info: I found some Battlestar Galactica (old series) - fan edits with CGI
Time

Hello,

I would like to say what a great job you did. Wonderfull that you have placed time and effort into this project, it shows!

Keep up the Galatica work. BSG was my reason for living at 12 years old, and it's a fun universe to play in.

A few months ago, I posted some info on a number of Galatica Telemovies I have placed on DVD, (I can't find it in search). Some of these movies had footage not used in the original broadcast run, and is also not on the DVD box set. If you would like to get a hold of the Telemovies for your work, PM me...
