BSG
Time

Just saw listed on IMDB (The Internet Movie Database) a new BSG T.V. movie that is titled "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan" and it's now in production and it is being directed by Edward James Olmos.

NOTE: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE UPCOMING "CAPRICA" SHOW

Here is the link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1286130/

Now, I can't find much more info about this telefilm, but my guess is that this film will have something to do with the Cylon's plan that was mentioned in the opening prolog of the show during the first few seasons.

The cast listing on IMDB is full of "rumor" notations. Sadly (and with some concern), I don't see characters of Apollo, Starbuck, Baltar, or even The President listed as being in this production.

I also suspect that this is going to be broadcast and released on DVD for the holiday shopping season, and thus before the rest of season 4 in 2009. Let's hope, because I am truly  jonesin big time for some Galactica!

This is gonna be boss. I am still interested in what you are going to do with 83' extended tv broadcast of the needle injection scene with the Nurse/ Doctor and Checkov. Are you going to cut this scene out?

Earlier this year I had a European clip in widescreen from (so called widescreen broadcast of the TV version) a photo I sent you, we later compared the photo with the fullscreen and found that it was cropped footage much like the BTTF DVD release. So in the end this scene only exists in fullscreen.

Fanfiltration are you going to crop this footage or cut it all together? I am actually hopeing you crop it for reasons of that I don't want any scenes removed. if you are to have a true TV broadcast on widecreen to have this scene missing would be bummer for me. But I would live.

Thanks for the response.

I'm keeping an open mind about this shot at this point.  I'm doing a version with the shot removed and another with it cropped. We will run it for a few people and see how it plays.

Blu-ray prices not coming down
Time

My normal DVD player that is about 9 years old started to crapped out and made alot of my disks skip, and I just could not see replacing it with another old style player. Best Buy had a sale on their Insignia brand player for about $249, so I just got my first 1080p Blu-Ray player about two weeks ago. Thing is, I still don't own any Blu-Ray titles yet.  The price and selection of films is kind of keeping me from doing that.  I'm kind of sad that I got the Blade Runner 5 dvd set in normal DVD format last year, but what can you do.  I don't realy feel like re-buying something like that so soon. The new Blu-Ray unit plays my old normal format DVD collection just fine, and I feel I can ease into the new Blu-Ray format slowly as titles I feel I would enjoy much more in 1080p come out.   My local video store does have a small selection of titles in Blu-Ray, so I have been able to see how improved the format looks on some films, and I must say that I am very impressed. To bad the remastard Star Trek came out in the now quickly fading HD format, or that would have been my first Blu-Ray media items to buy. I've had a HD T.V. for about 4 years now that I used to use for digital Dish Network.

So only un-lawfull people use such "slang"? You are a foolish person to think that.

I was making a joke, you fucking jackass. The origin of that slang comes from thieves. :)

I don't believe you. lol

Dictionary.com:

9.Slang. a house, shop, etc., frequented by thieves or regarded by thieves as a likely place for burglarizing.

No, I did not believe you where making a joke.

A Day in the Life of Joe Republican

By John Gray Cincinnati, Ohio -  jgray7@cinci.rr.com - July - 2004

Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water
because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards.

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.

All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too because his employer needs to offer competitive benefits to hire the best people.

Joe prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with every
ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree
hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

Joe drives to work in one of the safest cars in the world because some liberal fought to raise safety
standards and emission controls.

Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with good pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some Liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally
insured by the FSLIC up to $100,000 because some liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from greedy, unscrupulous bankers like the ones who ruined the banking system before the depression.

Joe needs to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He
arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers
Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican's might still be sitting in the dark!)

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension
because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.

He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn't tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day)

Joe agrees, "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I'm a self
made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have".

David Lynch's - DUNE - The Third Stage Edition (Released)
Time

WOW!

I just got done watching my preview copy of this edition and it's FANTASTIC! Blows away any other fan edit of Dune I've seen, and I enjoy this version much more then even my own.

It's done with great taste and skill.  I used my new Blu-ray player and large HD T.V. to view this edit, and the picture quality and color are excellent as is the sound mix. I found no glitches or errors at all.   The added scenes from the recently released 2-disk set made the story much more enjoyable.  The end scene has so much more emotion. Hats off to phineasbg and Mitch for all the excellent work doing this.

Seek this edit out guys, you will not be sorry.

Five out of five stars!

Due to some health issues I was having I was forced to take some time off from working on my edit, but now I feel much better.  This set is back in the works, and should be done by this December. I hope.

 Thanks God ;-)

Glad your back , I am waiting patiently for this edit.

Thank his good health and not "God"...

Any plans on using the 720p HD broadcast as a source? Not sure which cut it is but it might be the Theatrical, Director's Edition or Special Longer Version. Keep us updated and welcome back!

Yes, the HD broadcast is being used as one of the sources.
