I think Ady is holding off on RotJ until he's ready to start work on the Revisited version. Apparently the colors are really bad in RotJ, or at least a lot more work to fix than the prequels.

Ady, are these going to be the color bases for the Revisited versions? Do you have the hard drive space to keep all these HD files around for x years?

The colours in ROTJ are god awful. I have been editing the lightsaber duel for shits and giggles and it has proven to be very difficult because of how dark and blue it is. But I did manage to make lukes saber thinner so now I can overlay it with a very sleak blade. Vaders saber was already fairly thin so I don't need to do as much work on his.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

IG 88 was successful in tracking down the millennium falcon. It has been suggested in the EU that this IG88 was destroyed by Boba Fett on bespin. Or even in his ship I could imagine IG88 trying to sneak aboard and ninja kill him but Boba was not willing to let his bounty slip through his fingers. If ESB had been made in 2005 Boba would have had a battle scene with IG88. But thank god it was just a little nod. But it doesn't need to be painted because there is 4 IG88's in the star wars universe.

I guess Star Wars is bad for the back because I too have had problems. This is the first time it has felt decent in a while. Ady just don't force your back to pop. I went to a clinic with my dad when he had a bad back and they said that is the biggest mistake people make. I used to lean back in a chair to pop mine and I still had pain.Take a HOT bath with Epsom salt for a good week. And also sleeping on your stomach for a week or 2 might help. Don't put pressure on that back.

There is also an excersise I learned in ROTC that helps it quite a bit.

lay on the floor (carpet would be very good.)

wrap your hands around your knees and roll back and forth. It should releive it quite a bit. Only do it if it is regular back pain. If it is spinal problems I would see a doctor if possible.

The Phantom Menace -Theatrical Version - NTSC DVD- ADYWAN - NOW AVAILABLE
Time

It will be out there believe me. All of adywans projects make their way to the torrents. I saw ANHR on Oi Bt MuNkY about a week 1/2 after it's release. If it doesn't make it out there I am sure the lot of people who downloaded it will be nice enough to pm it. I for one am going to wait until I can get some more DVD9s.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

I still can't get over how absolutely amazing ANHR is. I have been showing my brother-in law(who doesn't watch star wars which is just blasphomey) screencaps of what ady has done and he is blown away. He was freaked out when I told him that ANH came out in 1977. So I think I gotta future star wars fan on my hands. If I have kids and George Lucas still hasn't released the theatrical versions on whatever format is out there then it is a no-brainer that I will pop out ANHR and show them what I believe is the greatest thing since the Laserdisc set.

I dunno. In film it would be great even epic. But I really can't think of an ending that had the tension that ESB had. The last 15 minutes of that movie were so quiet yet so powerful. If leia pointed out a star destroyer like OMFG STAR DESTROYER instead of Ric Olie then we wouldn't need the attack. Is Ady going to work his audio magic and maybe raise the volume and pitch of Leias simple observation. Ever since people on here started talking about it I have been bothered by it. Now after thinking about it. A star destroyer in the middle of cloud city could be amazing but it would come off a little PT-ish. It would definetly need to be flawless. Just doing what I did was too cartoony. But I dunno if ady will want to do something that doesn't help nor hinder the story. But it is a revisitation. One problem with that is it was hard to do on a single frame it will be immensly hard in motion. Then after you get the star destroyer in there you need shadows over the city (which would be awesome if done right) then you need to make the star destroyer cut through the clouds. The biggest problem with that is the lighting. I don't think our artificial lighting is up to the standards of something like this.

[It] might be a shocking addition to the panic...of Cloud City if we saw Imperial ships...

[It] would...remind the audience that it wasn't just the Rebels that Imperials were utter gits to.

Found this interesting pic while tooling around Google Images:

I was thinking of a few landing ships coming down as the panic starts and a few fighters clearing the area and taking out the local security, impressive as that view is it might be jewelling the guilded lilly to do something on that scale but I'm frequently wrong.

Well lets see what it would look like from all perspectives.

My first mockup in a week

Well according to Luke in ANH there is an Imperial Academy so I could see them as being like the military in the many nations of our world. The Imperial Academy could be more of a high rank kiss-ass facility that gets them ready to be choked by vader when they are on the death star/star destroyers. And the regular storm troopers look like a recruit job. We have military academies here in the US and we also recruit so it could be looked at in the same vain.

Does he really talk about an "Imperial" Academy (I have seen ep 4 in french more often than in english so maybe I missed something), or is it just a "Pilot" Academy? Because it's obvious that Luke don't like the Empire and I don't think he'd wish to leave the farm to be part of the Empire!

Well I am including the deleted scene with biggs. He talks about joining the Imperial Academy which Biggs is in and he tells him that he is going to go AWOL and join the rebellion. Then in a non-deleted scene he says he wants to send in has application to the Academy. So even though in the version most people know he doesn't say the Imperial Academy he really means the Imperial Academy.

I like the whole early morning mist look. It gives the sense of grandure. So a good early misty morning with the sun peaking out of the clouds (which would be a badass shot in the middle of the battle) would make the time more believable. Because it is the middle of the day during the naboo duel. I could do a mockup soon. But yes Bingo the mistier and foggier the better. It would be like The Patriot during the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Maybe Ady is taking a break. I don't blame the poor guy. I know he is used to his plate being full but after a while it can be pretty tiring. Guys like me would just say FUGGIT but Ady is different. I hope whatever he is doing he is comfortable because I have seen the work he has done. I would have quit during the colour correction.

It could work if you remove any reference of Anakin being Darth Vader. Then if you watch the movies in chronological order. You know that Anakin is Luke's father or some kind of family but you don't know he IS actually Vader. Then the line in ANH won't have to be changed. There's only one problem, Obi-Wan says that his student Darth Vader killed Anakin, but it's seems that Obi-Wan killed Anakin if you let him burn in Ep III.

Obi wan is lying to Luke anyway

Indy BluRay pushed off til 2010, what does that mean for SW?
Time

It is cheaper and easier to work in digital filming. A director would prefer to stay in budget and spend more cash on the effects after filming. Film looks better but the problem with directors is that it cost way more. Plus it is way easier to work with digital cameras because you don't waste anything. But you would think it would the directors perogative to make the film he/she worked so hard on to look as good as possible. But they don't seem to care. With me I like the film grain. I like to see the dust spots pop up every once in a while. I look for that when I watch newer films because I know that the director might just care about their motion picture when I see the film grain. If you look even at 720p dvd's at movies shot from the beginning to 1999, the films just look so much better. Film may be dead to commercial film makers. But I would not make a movie without using film. I imagine digital being better than film someday but as of now Film>Digital.
