I don't know where you got this idea that you have to have a mobile phone but there is NOTHING on that Sign Up page that forces you to pay for anything.  All they want is basic info, the same as setting up a Yahoo, Hotmail or any other message board sign in.

So essentially you're refusing to make an email address for free access to something you never paid for the first time around?

Yeah, that'll teach them.  ',:-\

No, they need a mobile phone number for confirmation to keep my old account.

You don't need a phone to use youtube, just a google account. I wasn't happy with it either, but I already had one tied to the email I used to make mine so it's not so bad.

I don't even think they are worth the effort anymore. If they were like they used to be, I would have paid to keep my page, but they have changed.

It is all about this freaking Youtube celebrities now. All it is for is money now.

Bye Pre-Google YouTubers
Time

I just went to sign in to YouTube, and it won't let me anymore. I joined YouTube in 2006, so it was before Google bought them.

When Google made the purchase, YouTube became a little crappier, but still enjoyable. Over time, the site has been getting horrible, but still useful.

As far as video sites, YouTube just wiped the floor with them all. Then, YouTube made the big change in format. I became disgusted.

Now, in order for me to be a YouTuber, I need a mobile phone, which I stated that I would never own one. I cannot stress how much I think Google, and YouTube can suck it. I will continue to use Google's search engine, but as far as Chrome and YouTube, they can stick it up their ass.

I do still have my EyeShotFirst1 account, but my main one is no more.

Who could be more BadAss than a guy leading a campaign to sue Lucasfilm over the suppression of the OOT?

I regret now that I did not feign supporting his cause. It would have been great to egg him on, to find out what his next steps were going to be.

He would have pissed Lucas off into releasing the movies in 280p.

Why do you think the OT was as good as it was?
Time

My pre Star Wars childhood consisted of video games, baseball, and music. As far back as I remember, kids would wear Darth Vader T-shirts, and talk about Star Wars.

Before ever watching these films, I was predisposed to them. My mother would always try to get me to sit down and watch them, but I never would.

I remember the day I decided to watch them. I had them in my hands, and the imagery astounded me. I was in utter awe. So, I sat down in the basement, with the lights off, and popped in Star Wars. For some reason, I was blown away from the beginning. Seeing as I was a child of the nineties, and still am at heart, it is hard to believe how these films could blow me away.

I recall, rewinding the ESB duel, just to be dominated by awesomeness. I was a fan.

Fast forward a year or two, I had the posters, blankets, t-shirts, toys, etc... I went from sport to nerd. I would sit at my school desk in the second grade, drawing space battles, and making plans to build my own millennium falcon.

Now, instead of talking about anything from 1997-present, let us talk about what you liked about the OT. Remember, you haven't seen the prequels or the SE yet.

Why was the OT so good. It is hard to say, but I just want to see your perspective.

Feel free to go more in depth than just the films.

Yeah, what's the deal with that anyway? I [almost don't, but sort of do] understand how it could be useful in some cases, but for someone like me, who is the only person who uses my computer, why do I need to do all this extra stuff just to get into a program? :p

I am the same way. If I had the time to learn it, I would go Linux.

ABC, you or anyone else for that matter, wouldn't happen to have a decent sized picture of this. I just want the image on the lunchbox, preferably in colour.

Though if not, I could probably work with it. It is the image I originally wanted for the back of my Star Wars ANH cover.

P.S. if it is a picture of the lunchbox, that will work too.

isnt that almost the same image used on the ANH radio drama cover?

It is close, but no tie fighter.

Also, beware I noticed a trace of bearnaise on the ANH cover.

He owes me his delicious raisins.

 ... Who ?

Bearnaise

Ohhh I see, the affair becomes ambiguous... Trace of bearnaise and raisins... Well well.

But actualy I was talking about that:

We don't have bearnaise in America. About as exotic as it gets is Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

Thank you!!! I really wanted to make it more about the imagery of the classic trilogy. I didn't want one hint of special edition on these covers. It is really a mixture of Star Wars collections I have owned over the years.

If I had to make the same for myself I would add the credits. I like a few typo. Well what I mostly like are the complete posters with all the text, minus "the star wars saga continues" or other teasing promo sentences.

Also, beware I noticed a trace of bearnaise on the ANH cover.

Bearnaise

I was a little in a hurry, what I meant - "nice" beeing quite unsignificant and not that much a compliment - is that they are surely the best SW DVD covers I've seen on this site: simple, efficient, beautiful.

Now I wondered if the big Star Wars logo of the main case wouldn't deserve to be lowered just a bit (position)and also wondered if the colors on the back are a good addition: I would keep the ships B&W, and perhaps keep the color only for the lasers.

I notice what you mean. It will be lowered.

Also, beware I noticed a trace of bearnaise on the ANH cover.

This has been taking longer than I had expected. I just got the basic idea of the backs done. I wanted to pictures of each lightsaber duel, but there aren't really any images big enough to try. So I used old promo images. The Star Wars battle was made from scratch, I had to make a panorama for the ESB one, because a chunk of the star destroyer was cut from the image.. The ROTJ one was from a poster I used to have. I think they each represent Star Wars. What do you think?

I might put a Death star behind the space battles for ANH and ROTJ.

P.S. Sorry it is taking so long. Finding high quality images is very hard when it comes to the original trilogy.

bravo!   A very nice tribute indeed.   The guy that did it is clearly very talented himself.

You just can't say enough about John Williams.   Think about how so many movies would be so different without his contributions.   May the force always be with John Williams.

His contributions to Star Wars were great indeed. I do have to give George Lucas credit for wanting a Rite Of Spring esque soundtrack.
