Bryan Young, the Rebuttaler to RLM, is gaining some steam and putting out his responses at a higher rate. That link is part 1, there are 4 so far.

His points were that of a young man who believes that George Lucas can do no wrong. He probably needs the EU to explain why Han Solo made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs.

I saw them a while back. They both made me extremely sad. I almost wanted to cry when I saw the work print viewing of The Phantom Menace. Rick MaCallum knows the movie is shit, yet he says nothing.

I also loved that Gary Kurtz got credit for his awesomeness.

favorite line was:

"In fact, it is so genius, I am sure George Lucas had nothing to do with it."

HI-Res Poster Art

Does anyone have 70s and 80s SW poster art without any texts or logos? Would be very helpful!

Satanika posted a big zip file with many of them. They have proven to be very helpful to me.

Well, there are many different posters and logos, is there something specific you're looking for?

I've updated my poster scan/photo collection, feel free to look there, also put up a few eps logos.

My SW posters (83mb)

SW .eps logos (2mb)

Supplement with ocp's posterbook scans.

There isn't a good reason why the prequels should exist anyway, aside from Georges need to make Star Wars, "Episode IV A New Hope".

Some people enjoy the prequels, especially in fanedited form.  That's a good reason for them to exist.

And they can enjoy them all day, but as far as my concern for them, I won't watch them. And if I get my originals on blu-ray, I won't care what George does.

Okay, how did you pull off the new facial movements? It's brilliant, and during the first part of the video I was wondering if "three" would match the mouth movements for "two." And then the mouth movements were completely different. o_o Explain please, good sir.

he didnt call wedge rogue 2.....he called the gunner rouge 2

You do realise that only the pilot has a call sign and not the gunner. And Rogue 2 is a totally different pilot anyway if you check the movie and you will see that's it's Zev that is Rogue 2. He is identified as Rogue 2 several times in the movie, so i'm sorry you are wrong

What about the annoying fact that the dubbed track never matches the character's lip movements? If that doesn't break immersion than I don't know what does. It's like watching that guy from Police Academy.

BTW, how much space does a DD 2.0 track take up? 150MB? If you have about seven of them that's over a GB of wasted space, not counting the 300+MB English 5.1 track. I mean, obviously it's your call, but maybe you could have just an English version and one mulitlangual version?

Anyway, nice fix there :)

wasted space in your eyes LG, but not in mine and not in peoples eyex that aren't native English speakers. The overall size of the video only track on ANH:R DVD-9 was approx 6.gb and no one complained about the quality of that so i see no problem using the extra space for audio.

If you don't like it, then you don't have to watch it. LOL ;)

You are correct. I actually prefer the fix. The dialogue in that scene was god awful. Thanks for fixing one thing that was kind of annoying.

Though one thing I must ask. Will you do something about Wedge saying Hoooowahhh that got him? It just sounded fake.

To bring these films up to the level of ROTJ alone would take a lot more than just editing and that's really what this thread is all about.

My point exactly. We need a rich guy who can fund my prequel reshoot. GO FIND HIM!

If only we had the original theatrical versions in decent quality, I could forget about the prequels and watch the good ones. There isn't a good reason why the prequels should exist anyway, aside from Georges need to make Star Wars, "Episode IV A New Hope".

Now, here is what the set will look like, I still haven't added any logos. The fronts and sides will stay as is, but the backs will contain the FOX logos and whatnot.

The thing I am most proud of is the colour work I did to Return Of The Jedi's poster. I hated how saturated and blue it was, so I toned it down a bit to work with the other posters, let's face it ANH and Empire had the best posters.

Star Wars DVD Covers

Here is my WIP box. I plan on keeping it very simple. The DVD cases will be more complex. I plan on making them very retro. I would have imformation and symbols, but this box is for Star Wars fans, it isn't to advertise logos.

The detail is missing from the imandix sample, it looks very beautiful in the raw images.

Any creative imput is more than welcome.
