God, i'm away for a little while and it's gone a little mad in here.

I can't believe that the transport shot has been brought up again. I guess this is what happens when and old pic is posted again without the description or any of the comments i made after it.

This was a MOCK-UP shot and was only to try out the new partially finished matte and ship placement. The ships hadn't even been rendered at their full resolution at this stage and the whole image was far from complete. I also stated that there was some more background activity with pilots/troopers to add once the 2nd unit filming was complete that will give the scene it's scale.  The 2nd unit saw a more complete video version a few days later and a lot of thing had changed now i had the full resolution renders. Here's the newer version minus the added background characters:

Now i've got a lot of reading to do to see what else i missed. If anyone is awaiting a reply to any emails or PM's , i will get around to answering them as soon as i can

Ady, I always thought that shot was a little boring. Think we could juice it up with a few farting rontos?

Adywan, I think you should just give up on this Wampa. It's taking too long and you don't even know if this is going to work? I thought the one in the movie sufficed. I think you should have just edited using that.

Your serious right? If you would read back 5,000 some odd posts ago, Ady went through a lot just to get the fur. I doubt he is gonna scrap the idea this deep into it.

Video Games - a general discussion thread
Time

I have been playing Epic Mickey for a couple of days, and I will say it is the best game I have played in while.

It reminds me of a mix between Banjo Kazooie and Gex Enter The Gecko, with a touch of Super Mario Sunshine.

The game is clever, and exciting. I really like it, and recommend it to all wii users. If you don't have a wii, find a friend that has one and play this game.

If you liked the N64 years, you will really like this game, because it has the feel of one.

Another one of those 2 am DISH HBO nights. Found a movie called "Noise" starring Tim Robbins.

It's about a man who lives in NYC, who is bombarded by car alarms all night and all day. So he decides to do something about it.

It started off good, chugged along just fine, then started to chug a little too long, and ended kind of sudden.

I wouldn't recommend it, unless nothing else is on.

I saw Deathly Hallows today. I liked it, hated the sound effects, but I am blaming that on the venue's need to crank the volume so loud.

While Daniel Radcliffe strips down constantly, have no fear, you never see his philosopher's stones. Hermione doesn't even really show much more than side boob. In the end they could play it on tv the way it was shown.

My true beef with the film if any thing is the way the three brothers story was told. It was kind of cartoony. When I read the book, I had more of Terry Gilliam kind of approach in my head.

In the end it wasn't the best film of the series, but a faithful movie to the best book of the series.

It set Part II up to be the best in the series.

I think I will learn to love it the most when I can control the volume. It was darker than anything, and if you never feared Voldemort, you might in this one.

Another beef was the use of Bill Nighy. His role just felt inappropriate for somebody with his chops.

Neat and creepy at the same time.

Back in the 8th grade, I drew pictures of Eddie The Zombie all over my notebook. Was sent to the principal's office one day, and she had a cop go through all my stuff for drug paraphernalia and found my notebook. Both she and the cop were saying I was satanic because of it. Shows how screwed up the school system is in Louisiana. Glad I moved back up north.
