How starwars went from great to garbage

The prequels are not garbage. Some parts of it are, as some parts of the OT are too, although they are much fewer. IIRC, TESB didn't received much praise at the time. At least it was not universally acclaimed as it is now. Not to speak of RotJ.

Anyway, as was said, this discussions have grown tiring. Specially with those RLM reviews, which are even more garbage than the movies they nitpick about.

I wish I could agree with you that the PT is not garbage, but I can't. I don't even feel remotely entertained when watching them.

ROTJ would have left a bad taste in my mouth, if it wasn't for the Throne Room scenes.

The RLM reviews are great, IMHO. They gave a better analysis of the films than some nerd leaned over the check out counter at the comic-book store, bitching about Jar Jar.

These discussions have grown tiring. In some ways, I still love Star Wars. In many ways, I have given up on Star Wars.

It's the same reason why I cling to the OT, yet I can't any more. Years of fighting for it have caused me to give up on it all together.

I cannot watch the OT, without George Lucas throwing in reminders of the PT. CGI creatures plaguing the screen, screaming for attention. It is like he can't stand the fact that so many hate the PT, so he will destroy that which we do love. And fanboys defend those changes, because Lucas is their god who can do no wrong.

When/IF George Lucas releases the OoT, I doubt I will care by then.

What I do get excited about are Adywan's edits.

Bottom line  is some of you guys are judging a product before it comes out in the case of the star wars blu-ray set coming out in 2011. Wait until we see actual product images of the set then you can judge it.

Hmm i see no big difference there ady apart the clarity of the falcon and some fixed colors.. pity the engine had more detail to the 2004 version. I think the overdone white boost made the engine looks more like GOUT..

OOps, posted the wrong snapshot. That's the 97 SE AVCHD, not Revisited, which is why the engine is so overblown. Too many layers in Vegas & enabled the AVCHD layer by mistake when taking all the snapshots. Here is the proper revisited version

He does care about storytelling. He's just a sloppy writer. The ideal Star Wars film can still be directed by him, but with somebody polishing the scripts, as it happened with ANH.

ANH was a group effort by pioneers. Everybody who touched that film had a major effect on it. ESB was the same, just a better director for the actors.

The prequels are your George Lucas movies.
