Any favorite Star Wars scenes?
Time

Everything in ANH and ESB was memorable, including a good deal of ROTJ.

That is one of the problems with the prequels, there wasn't any moments that sucked me in.

ANH and ESB were such great pieces of art, and each scene can be enjoyed on their own. Even people who haven't seen them before know some of the imagery, because it stays with you. You have to have seen the prequels a few times to remember much about them.

Star Wars used to be a thing that everybody knew about and it was instilled in our culture. Star Wars wasn't a movie, it was an experience.

Even ROTJ had those moments of awe that you could take with you and tell your friends about it.

Life is like that ESF.

Like when I lost my sight, my other senses picked up the slack and I developed this radar-like sense which I use to fight crime dressed in red spandex.  And did I mention the cane that I use to knock out the criminal's teeth?  That'll learn 'em.

I wondered what happened to you. Come back to us Ben Affleck!!

If anything, if the 2011 set bombs financially, it will be incentive that the only way to make money off of SW is to release the originals.

More people are protesting these than the 2004 set, but it really doesn't matter. The Lucas faithful will buy them up just for the fact that they say Star Wars on them.

Info & Ideas: ESB and ROTJ Wishlist
Time

I've been trying my best lately to get Angel results without as much work. It looks fairly good, the sabers are bad, but I have never been very good with them. 005 is the only one who has seen this so far.

I think the colouring is ok, it could have been better, but I didn't use an HD source.

{Forgive the space at the top, I will fix it in a bit}

Star Wars - The Vader Confidential Edits - Episode I Completed and Available!

{I'm also posting this in the prequel thread}

Adding a cyan filter with brightness and contrast changes made a huge difference in the arena scenes. It didn't do much in the clone battle though. This is really the best it can look without resorting to rotoscoping.

In some places the removal of orange was wonderful, in others it was better to keep it in. I just wanted to see if I could do it in a few simple steps.

That's such a brilliantly obvious and logical idea,

Is it? From what I recall, C-3PO was built to help Shmi at home, not at the shop. And R2-D2 belonged to the Queen's Ship, where he was indeed useful. This is a perfect example of searching nits to pick. That's why his reviews are all BS.

How the hell was C3PO supposed to help a slave? She didn't exactly seem like she was in the line of work that would require a snooty robot that translates. C3PO would be more useful for somebody important, who goes across the stars speaking to creatures with bizarre languages, like pamadalan.

Have you even seen Star Wars? The versions I most remember involved C3PO whining and complaining every time anything happened. The only time he was ever useful was as a translator.

I think the only droid Shmi needed was a Gonk droid, because it looks like it can get the job done on those lonely nights.
