I am sorry for derailing the thread, but do people actually care about the prequels once empire and jedi are done to me the revisited trilogy of the real star wars trilogy is all i need.

I don't think they will ever be as good as the OT, and I am well sure Ady doesn't either. It is just interesting to see what can be done to them. Bob Garcia is polishing one of those turds with great results as we speak.

I've been trying my best lately to get Angel results without as much work. It looks fairly good, the sabers are bad, but I have never been very good with them. 005 is the only one who has seen this so far.

I think the colouring is ok, it could have been better, but I didn't use an HD source.

{Forgive the space at the top, I will fix it in a bit}

oh dude that is nice and a surprise cause i am currently working on fixing the lightsaber during the first battle and color enhancing that scene

what software are you using?

Photoshop :(

I believe it can be done in After Effects, but it will take way more work in motion.

Harmy, this project is wonderful. When I get off my lazy butt and get some DVDs I will get these.

First of all, thanks and second of all, is that a request for the links or do you already have them? Sorry but I honestly can't remember everyone I sent links to :-)

It's a "When I get DVDs I will request PM" statement =O

Oh, I hope not!  The worst thing about the SE transfer was the crushed blacks because the colors can be improved but the crushed blacks are there for good.  I was hoping that the BD might be better in this respect.

I hope it isn't the case as well. Hell, I would be more likely to buy this set if they were given the same treatment as TPM. Especially if the sabers were back to their original colours.

So who thinks the garbage mattes won't be corrected and will stick out horribly in 1080P.

If those can be fixed by fans on a home computer with off the shelf software there is zero excuse for a billionaire to leave them in.

From looking at the trailer I would say they didn't do a thing to the transfer and are releasing a 1080p version of the 2004 DVD. Crushed blacks in HD YAY!!!

How To Train Your Dragon

This was my first viewing, forgive me, I don't make it a priority of mine to watch every movie when they come out.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It was beautiful and it kept my attention. It never felt like it dragged.

My only beef with it was the fact that 70% of the Vikings had a Scottish accent. I know Gerard Butler and Craig Ferguson were in there, but why Scottish? Vikings weren't Scottish. They didn't fight dragons either, so I guess I can let it slide.

Despicable Me

This was also a first viewing. I will have to say, I loved it. It's plot was a little shakey, but it was executed in such a way that I couldn't help but love it. I also liked the art direction on it. You could definitely tell this was meant to be seen in 3D, but my eyes can't take it so 2D it is.

I don't have anything left from ANH:R so Everything will have to be done from scratch. I'm hoping i can find the original death star mesh animations but i know i deleted all the project files and everything else

Okay, everyone, time to pitch in to the Adywan Fund so that he can get a couple of 2TB external drives on which to store these project files. :-)

External drives are actually getting damn near dirt cheap. A few years ago I would have laughed at the thought, but it wouldn't take much. Ady needs archives LOL/

Eye, did you do this in After Effects.. You kinda said how you did it... Can you be more detailed? Looks great!

My computer can't handle that in After Effects. I did it in photoshop, but the changes were applied to all the frames at the same time. I have dabbled in After Effects and I believe it can be done.

I used photo filter, cyan, and raised it to my liking.

I then went into brightness/contrast, and raised brightness until it didn't feel dark. Then I added contrast to bring back some detail.

Then removed a little saturation, and boosted some colours.

The underlined part is what made it look good, other was just messing around.

When I was doing this I was applying each change to each layer at the same time.

If anybody would be willing to do the scene in motion, that would be awesome!!

That is one of the problems with the prequels, there wasn't any moments that sucked me in.

I thought there were many moments that sucked.

The prequels aren't even quotable. The OT is full of awesome quotes.

The only dialogue I can quote is Jar Jar and every time Anikan opens his hole and says something stupid. "I hate sand."

You may want to read that again. :P

I read it right the first time. Just thought I would prod on with my disgust in the prequels. I hate to be a broken record, but when something so wrong happens, you try to figure out just why and how it went wrong.
