Will Natalie Portman's performance in Thor make up for her bad acting.

I know that The Professional is the cut US version of the movie. Never seen it. I believe it's around ~15 minutes that was cut?

Léon is the international version, with the ~15 minutes intact.

Léon: The Professional is the title on the DVD box of the US release of Léon, which is identical to the international version.

I'm asking what was cut from Léon (which I've seen and love) to make The Professional (which I haven't seen, and don't really plan to).

Though I guess I could just Google it...

A lot of what could be considered the sexual tension between She and Leon. And a bit of her training, and some of her jobs like the gum on the door. Then the scene where they are at the nice restaurant. It's been a long time since I've seen it though.

I enjoy the Long cut more, but if I was going to recommend it to family it would be the short version, because of the sexual tension.

Question About The History of Originaltrilogy.com?
Time

I stumbled onto this site because of the Hi Rez poster art section. Back in those times you couldn't hardly find Hi Resolution Star Wars poster without some hard core searches. Google has gotten better at searching, but then it was hard. I was a lurker for years, and then one time I had an idea to do a retexturing job on Shadows of the Empire (Which was cancelled by my noobery), so I figured I would post about it on here, and have been coming on ever since.

ANHR was already out for a little while, so I snagged it when I got around to getting a DVD9. The ESBR thread was one of the things that kept me coming.

Macs are friggin awesome with video, as a windows user I can admit that. I had to use them in a Media Production class in High School.

For things I like to do I could easily do it on a mac, I just stick with PCs because it is territory I am more familiar with.

I am also very stingy, so the PC is the better choice.

I just don't like most younger Mac users, not including ones like ChainsawAsh who actually know what they are talking about. Most Mac users sound much like you do Ghostbusters, only they are for the Mac team.

While there are things a mac can't do that a PC can do and Vice Versa, they both have easy means of compensation.

In the end the winner of the OS war is Linux LOL.

Also, I will state here that iTunes on Windows blows giant monkey chunks. It wasn't designed for Windows, and it works like shit on it.

hmm, I use iTunes on Windows and have no problem with it.

Every time I use iTunes on Windows, I click on the icon to open it up. Then I wait ... and wait ... and wait ... and after maybe a minute, iTunes finally shows up! Yay! I can listen to my music!

Click ... wait ... nothing's happening ... okay ... click ... click ... click ... NOTHING'S HAPPENING!!!

Wait ... the four clicks I made just occurred all at the same time, and now I'm listening to something really fucking weird that I had no intention of ever listening to! Okay, press spacebar to stop ... music continues for five more seconds ... ah, there, it stopped!

Okay, click on "The Who" ... wait ... wait ... wait ... there we go, iTunes has now opened "The Who!"

Double-click on "Overture" from "Tommy" ... wait ... wait ... wait ... there we go!

Time to quit iTunes? File > Exit ... wait ... wait ... wait ... wait ...

...

...

ctrl+alt+del ... "Force Quit" iTunes ... wait ... wait ... wait ...

...

...

...

And that's why I hate iTunes on Windows.

well, guess I'm just a little more patient. Yeah it can take time to load and all, but it still works.

Itunes does suck ass on Windows compared to Mac. I use Winamp though, so it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, it's pretty much in line with my colour correction, only for my taste it is perhaps a tad too deblued and desaturated, for example the panels in the eighth picture are supposed to be blue IMO.

Yeah, that is my major beef with it. In the end, if it was my own fan edit, I would probably rotoscope to keep the panels blue, or even make them bluer.

Here is trying with just regular Colour correction. I am sort of happy with it. The blue thingys are less blue, That is not much of a problem. I might do the sabers sometime when I feel like it. This was just trying to get it to look more natural. Palpy's slugs are not gone, but they aren't as obvious. With replaced sabers this could really be cool. It already looks better with the cores white again. Like my attack of the clones colouration, each frame was corrected at the same time (which made things harder LOL) so it can show how it would look in the whole scene, because a single frame doesn't really tell how it's going to look.

I don't think it is 100% perfect, but it looks pretty good IMHO.

I like getting a PC, because I know I can add and replace things and make it last a lot longer than I could if I had a Mac. I don't know if they are upgradeable now, but when I last used them you got an awesome computer that you couldn't mess with.

I agree with Bingo about Linux. It is about the greatest thing you can get, it just takes a little learning. I just never got it on this computer, but when I replace it, I plan on getting it.

It definitely looks more OTish, I might add more contrast and brightness to it, then bring back just a little bit of that orange, because it looks a little on the cool side. Other than that, you did an amazing, and it's neat to see it in motion.

It also makes the CGI look a little better in some places.

Seeing that there is actually colour under all that orange is a great thing.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

720p will look just fine on a 40" to 50" television. ANHR in 560p (is that right?) looks pretty good on my 42" LG LCD 1080p television.

Unless you sit really close to the screen (which is dumb) 720p will look amazing. Any way, Ady's source materials as Chainsaw stated didn't really need to be in 1080p in the first place. It would be as silly as converting an MP3 to FLAC.

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

In my opinion when a person claims they restored a movie, everything must be cleaned and recomposited.

When they aren't cleaned and recomposited, you get results like the recent release of the orignal Clash of the Titans on Blu Ray, and it was tore apart on Amazon by people who don't even know much about film.

I'm glad I didn't attach conditions to any money I gave. Sheesh.

I know!! Kenobi's Tray pulls a douchey stunt and whiny folks come out of the woodwork wanting money back.

It isn't like he is buying beer and hookers with your money guys, he is using it for the project.
