Easy A. I don't know what I was thinking either, it was 1:00 at night, there was nothing else on, you know how it is...

7 chlamydia's out of 10

I couldn't watch it. I gave it a chance, but I found myself hoping for it to hurry up and end, so I just changed the channel.

I think there were some good ideas, they were just executed poorly. That's pretty much how all comedy is becoming.

I am pretty sure that is my favorite track on the album.

I like Frühling In Paris the most. I would've said Donaukinder, but it's a bonus track. Of course the whole album is pretty great. Even the worst songs eventually become likeable. They prove you can be just as heavy and controversial on the wrong side of 40 as you were at 20. They don't sound any older than they did on Herzeleid, maybe more solid.

I like Frühling in Paris a lot too. Before Liebe Ist Für Alle Da was released I really didn't expect I'd like it for some reason. The only song I'd heard was Pussy, which I really didn't like at all (though, much like you said, it eventually became likeable to me). Ended up really loving most of the album.

Last song listened to: Frühling in Paris

I got the album when it came out, but really didn't listen to it at all. I guess I had gotten burnt out on Rammstein, because before it came out they were all I listened to (that's a problem of mine, I get to obsessed with a band and play them till I get sick of them). Then one day I got an urge to listen to em, and decided to dust it off. I was really mad at myself for avoiding it.

Hand In Hand ~ Dire Straits

I generally prefer my Dire Straits to have the dockside pub feel of their earlier albums, but their Springsteen-esque Making Movies is undoubtedly their most overlooked effort. Overshadowed by the Grammy Award-winning Brothers In Arms, and the monster guitar chops of their first effort, this album makes it's own unique statement.

This album is really a departure. Seems like they had more fun. Still a guitar driven album, this one seems to be more restrained, though it's probably the closest thing to a hard rock album they've done.

Dire Straits albums seem to age better than most. Making Movies could've been recorded today, and still seem fresh.

'Mr. Blue Sky'

Electric Light Orchestra

(One of my all time favorite songs)

This.

ELO is one of my all time bands, but I can't help but feel like the film and commercial industry is turning them into another AC/DC. Seems like every movie or commercial has an ELO song in it, which is cool, but kind of a bummer at the same time. Mr. Blue Sky is one of their absolute best songs, but it gets played in every friggin movie or commercial.

Don't Bring Me Down is next in line. It's more offensive to me, because it's my absolute favorite of theirs.

Evil Woman used to be played like that, but people eventually eased off of it.

HI-Res Poster Art
Time

I've always liked the imagery surrounding Star Wars, but everybody has set out to do Jung, and not much new.

I attempted to give Star Wars a Cowboy Bebop meets James Bond look. Very 70's and retro. Feel free to do what you want with it. I might make a DVD cover myself, or not.

I probably won't do ESB and ROTJ, because that style poster doesn't work with them.

Is ken's horrible spelling deliberate? Is it a subtle form of trolling for him? Seriously, what literate person with English as their first language spells "preserve" as "preserver" and "body" as "buddy"?

It's all part of the transformation.

They start out like:

Then eventually they turn into:

The fact of the matter is, we are losing him. It would explain why he is 27 and writes like he's 6.

Those are looking good ESF. You can probably adjust it further but already it's much better. The overall look is good.

Maybe look at boosting the saturation after tweaking the colours? iirc The last crusade was pretty rich in colour.

Thanks, I agree with the boost in saturation. I will eventually add more to it.

Gotta say I was teary eyed at how much better Harrison Ford looks in the middle shot.

I'll definitely use the other 3 films as a base. South American scenes should be more Raiders. Early Shots should be more Crusade. Temple scenes should be more Temple LOL.

You can make the movie look like the other 3, too bad you can't make it as good as the other 3.

I actually think this is one of Bay's biggest failure points - his action sucks.  He has no sense of geography, there's no sense of style, it's all just a bunch of loud shit thrown up on screen.  You can't tell which transformer is which, you can't tell what the hell is going on

Make that two.

Geography is something Spielberg takes very seriously as an artist - and as a fan sitting in the theater, I thank him.  The moment I can't tell where things are - Bourne 2 & 3, Quantum Of Solace, nearly every TV show - I'm out.  One watch only, if that.  I'm the customer - I don't pay money to sit and work for the story.  If the director wants my money, he'll show me the story.

Interesting how the current generation is not only becoming accustomed to not having geography in a scene, they almost seem to prefer not having it. Guys like Bay and Greengrass don't even need to frame a shot or waste time trying to set it up.  Just roll continuously, move the camera unnecessarily, make a million edits later, toss in some music, and call it style.

Better make it three.

When I saw Transformers 2 in the theater, I got a headache during the desert fight sequence. The camera angles were f***ed up. It felt claustrophobic. It was like getting a lapdance by a cement truck half the time.

Friends told me I was a snob for saying I didn't like it. I kept trying to say there was too much shit on the screen, but I don't understand composition.

I'm completely avoiding Transformers 3, because the trailer alone has too much shit going on.

@Puggo: The thing is that a better SE transfer (ie. no crushed blacks, less processed picture, better colours) would allow for a more effective fan preservation of the kind that I'm doing. I'm not holding my breath though...

I wouldn't be as mad if they just scanned the 97 SE, but that would be a good thing, so it's not going to happen.

I'm trying not argue with some fans on the issue about the transfers of the OT SE for blu-ray. All I am saying is wait until the final product comes out in September then judge for yourself's.

I'm not giving George the benefit of the doubt. 2004 was my final purchase, and will stay that way. I won't buy another blue tinted SE again.

I'll wait and see what some of the competent folks here have to say about it, and probably still won't purchase it. George is using deleted scenes to bait real fans. It isn't gonna work on me. I'll take my Star Wars without any extra filler.

George pays attention to the changes in Technology.

He saw 1080p was gonna be the next big thing, so he scanned his films out of sheer "Don't wanna do this again". He is a businessman, and a conservative one at that.

I want to like Lucas again

I was about to say the exact same thing. I loved George as kid, and held him in high regard as a filmmaker. The prequels aren't what gave me a sour opinion of him. It's his need to erase the thing I love. I like Star Wars for it's imperfections, it's not glossy and perfect like the prequels. It's not some steril product of modern technology. It's the gritty efforts of pioneers who put their love into the films.
