Can you provide any info backing this up?

At Celebration 3, Lucas was quoted as saying "This is my last Star Wars movie." This led many to speculate that someone else would be taking up the Star Wars reins. So now I wonder if Lucas will be returning to this bond-esque approach for future Star Wars movies.

I don't have it ripped at the moment - what's the problem with it as it is? Colouring it wouldn't be a quick fix as for continuity's sake I'd have to colour it red in every shot...

The problem is that there's no physical rear window on Vader's TIE, unlike the other TIEs. But since they used the same cockpit set for Vader's shots, it looks like there's a window behind him. What I'm suggesting is that, instead of trying to remove the rear window completely, make it red so that it looks like a "simulated" window instead of a real one.

I'm pretty sure the window is only visible when he spins out of control, since the rest of the time his body is blocking our view of the window. So I don't think we're talking that many frames to correct.

Do you think there's any way you could mask out the back window in Vader's cockpit? I think it's only visible when he spins out of control. A quick fix might be to just color it red so that it seems to be a screen rather than a window.

And I know that Tellan is doing something similar, but would you consider redoing the Han and Greedo scene so that we don't see the long shot of Han shooting? I guess I find that angle rather underwhelming, even after your fix.

And here's another idea.

Can we make the podrace just one lap? This might make it seem shorter and heighten the tension. Maybe use the best parts from all the laps and combine them into one extended lap.

I remember watching Episode I for the first time. When they got to the end of the first lap and started the second, I said to myself "Whoa, nobody said anything about three laps."

And please get rid of the two headed announcer altogether if possible. I HATED that guy.

MTHaslett, I am wondering about this force talk that Anakin uses. We know Anakin can do this later as Vader (to Luke in ESB), but is this the best place to introduce it? In Episode I, it seems that nobody on Tatooine knows he's special. But you have him using his force talk with a complete stranger. It's implied that either 1) this is the first time he's used this power, or 2) he's done this before, but apparently nobody thought it was unusual. Just some food for thought.

So far, we have 3 versions of the script. The next thing I get - whatever that is - will be version 4. I don't see any need to go back and change what we've already posted. This way, we'll have a history of our changes.

Well, no one can force you to complete your set, but I'm sad you've decided not to. I don't know how complicated a straight conversion to NTSC would be for you, but I'd be happy with just that.

If you do re-consider, I'll be happy to Pif for you.

And what would be included, hypothetically speaking, in ANH extended edition?
