There's an interesting alteration on the sith logo that I came across:

This was a variation on the Target exclusive Episode III Clone Trooper. Rebelscum referred to this logo (the one on the left) as a "Sith Logo". You can see it looks like the sith logo I posted above, only rotated and copied onto itself.

Darth Simon, what do you think is the logo for the clone army?

It's becoming apparent that the Lucasfilm continuity guys aren't doing a very good job of keeping track of these. The official site's use of logos to designate eras only adds to the confusion. Logos are used to represent organizations, not periods of time.

So we have to look at these logos, see how they've been used in the movies, and come to our own conclusions. I've come up with the following:

As Kaal-Jhyy has pointed out, this is for the new "Legacy of the Force" era. However, it looks like a precursor to the rebellion lego, so it might be a Jedi logo from before the purge. A shame it was not used on the Jedi starfighters in Episode II. So is this a "Jedi" logo? Maybe.

The official site used to use this as the logo for the Sith. I have to wonder if a secret society such as the sith would even have a logo.

Separatists, or more specifically, the Confederation of Independent Systems. Odd that this logo was not seen on the separatist forces in Episode II.

Seen on Episode III Jedi fighters and Republic Star Destroyers. Anyone care to take a guess on this one? I say it's the logo for Republic Space Forces.

Han was running from the door of the "secret" bunker, which was a small part of the main generator building. I always thought the main building, with the satellite dish, had the bigger explosion.

It's the Jedi Order symbol, created recently for stories taking place in the NJO era.

Are you sure about that? I've seen a ROTS poster with Anakin and Obi Wan dueling, with this image in the background. So is it the jedi logo for both old and new orders?

Another thought on the prologue: How about using necromonger footage from the Chronicles of Riddick to represent a sith army. IMHO, those guys match up pretty well for what a sith army might look like.

About a prologue, I thought the concept for Episode I was that it would be the "first" Star Wars, that it would stand alone by itself, like a new Episode IV. Doesn't a prologue go against that?

It comes from a Star Wars puzzle that came out around 96. I tried to scan it high-res from the box, but it has this glitter effect that comes out purple when scanned.

The planet ones are the most unique IMHO (and best). For Jedi, I would go with the opening shot with Endor at bottom and the DS II in orbit.

EDIT - Where are the stars at the bottom front of the Empire planet version?

Can someone please tell me how the Phantom Editor's edit of Episode II is different from the official version? I've never seen this addressed in any thread here. His webiste makes no mention of it, and he hasn't updated since Aug of 2002.

Tellan,

This looks pretty smooth to me. The fade from the control room is pretty subtle, but I find the iris wipe is a bit distracting. I guess I'm just not used to it. I prefer to do without it, but if you still need the wipe to stretch out the sequence, I can live with it.
