Now when I go the 5-25-77 website, all the content that used to be there is gone.
Does anyone know anything new about this movie? When it's coming out? What was shown at Celebration IV?
Thanks!

There are two shots of the Jedi and Palpatine discussing Dooku. Go directly from: "This time we take him together. I was about to say that." to "He's a Sith Lord. Sith Lords are our speciality " (not the exact dialog). Just lay in some footsteps behind their dialog (to imply Dooku has walked down the stairs). When we next see Dooku ("your swords please"), it actually looks like he is walking away from the stairs, not the spot he jumped to.
It's my personal theory that Christopher Lee actually did walk down the stairs, and this was shot. However, Lucas didn't like something about it (maybe there was Dooku dialog he didn't like). So instead of reshooting the scene, he just had ILM use the gaudy CGI jump.

How about having Mon Mothma in the closing shot?
(Or is she still packing her bags on Coruscant after the dissolution of the senate?)

I like your idea about the yellow electricity a lot. If possible, a shot of the thingie on the wall before it's ripped off might make it even more clear. In that shot (maybe just a second or two before it's torn off), have the thingie pulsating and glowing with yellow electricity. This might be asking too much, but if the thing can even be arcing with yellow electricity BEFORE it's torn off, that would be even better.

I tried to keep them close to the album covers, yet make them all sort of similar to each other. let me know what you think.

Ironic that the Star Wars cover has Vader's ESB helmet, while the ESB cover has Vader's ANH helmet.

Have you seen the final episode of Stargate SG-1?
It looks like the effects guys used your Alderaan explosion.
If I'd had a drink in my mouth, I would have spit it out!
I know you used a Stargate shot (from the 200th episode for your version), but this one had the double explosion, angled praxis shock wave, and everything.

No question that the romance aspect was botched. Padme is a strong, likable character, but she is lessened by falling in love with Anakin for seemingly no reason. If only we had some kind of reason. Something?!?
Seeing Yoda fight Dooku was painful for me, and it ruined any suspense we might have had about Yoda's big fight with Sidious in Ep III.
Inconsistencies (more to do with Ep III, but they still spoil my enjoyment of Ep II):
1) Anakin starts down the dark path in Ep II, only to again be Mr. squeaky clean at the beginning of Ep III. WTF?
2) Palpatine is starting to age and show signs of the Dark Side's influence. However, he is miraculously rejuvenated again in Ep III. Super WTF?

This edit sounds really bold. If nothing else, I'm interested to see how you removed the ewoks and made a coherent plot for the end battle of the movie.

So sorry to hear about your loss, but at least you were able to salvage some stuff.
I'm glad to see you're persisting in spite of all of Lucasfilm's efforts, um, I mean, in spite of all the bad luck you're having.
I hope you can find the funds for two hard drives. Hopefully that will give you a good backup capability. Good luck!

I like the first test animation. The ships are just kind of slowly poking along, and I think it's a perfect match for the original shots in Star Wars. Your movements for the ships are very good too.

Does anyone have any more info on what deleted scenes were shown?

Please take as much time as you need. Don't beat yourself up or think you've failed.
Regarding taking Anakin out of the duel, can you use one of the shots of Dooku force-pulling a "thingie" off the wall (from the Yoda part) and throwing it toward Anakin? The impact would be implied, but we could then see Anakin hit the floor (I guess the rough part is still removing the smoke when Anakin's laying on the ground).

Can you please switch the colors for SW and ESB? I've always thought of ESB as a "blue" movie.

Greetings all,
The only changes listed that I didn't like were:
41. Mos eisley approach re-edited. Removed some of the creatures on the first shot & completely removed the Ronto/ Jawa sequence.
42. Removed both Rontos from the checkpoint scene.
43. Removed the probe droid from this scene also.
I don't mind a little humor. Just so that it doesn't saturate the film.

Robot slapstick = not humorous
And I don't see how you can abide the part where the ronto's side completely eclipses everything in view.
