Revenge Of The Cut - Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith (* unfinished project *)

The "use my power, I beg you" force voice is a little confusing. Why would he use that when he is in person? Plus, it's confusing whether he's really saying it, since we don't see his face. All the other times Obi Wan uses a force voice, he's already dead.

You could use this voice in the ruminations scene, when he's sitting in the Jedi council.

All this new ending talk sounds awfully complex in terms of making new stuff. I don't see the big problem with the wedding as an ending.

Sure, the concept of Anakin and Padme not getting married is interesting. But it leads to a sticky spot, especially in the next movie when she's suddenly pregnant. This movie is supposed to appeal to kids on some level, after all.

I think we should go back to Jango. Marcus is too jarring, like The Concierge said. I don't mind the word Jango so much. I'm more irked by Morrison's accent.

For JarJar, I'm torn about what to suggest. Any change we make will stand out against the rest of the prequels. Can we take a Phantom Editor approach and leave his voice unchanged, but cut his speaking down as much as possible?

David Prowse Banned - Not Paid Royalties

I think LFL's issue is that Prowse writes "David Prowse is Darth Vader", not just "David Prowse".

In that case, I understand Lucasfilm's objection, although I do not agree that Lucasfilm should be empowered to ban him from writing the slogan. "David Prowse is Darth Vader" sounds awfully like he is minimising the contribution of other artists to the character. Why not just sign it "David Prowse"? No one could justifiably object to that; it would identify him with the character without sounding as if others were being sidelined, and everybody would be happy.

I agree. But this has been going on for 33 years. It's not like Prowse just started doing this. Why was it OK up until now?

I think LFL's issue is that Prowse writes "David Prowse is Darth Vader", not just "David Prowse".

The article also says Prowse is not to do ANY photo events with the 501st Legion. That is so horribly sad. I need to touch base with my 501st friends to see if they've heard anything about that. I wonder how long until he's scrubbed from the 501st's website.

God, how I wish Star Wars were in the public domain.

I came across an interesting article about Prowse being banned from Celebration 5:

http://geektwins.blogspot.com/2010/06/darth-vader-actor-banned-from-star-wars.html

The article also mentions that Prowse claimed (via slashfilm) he's never been paid any residuals from the Star Wars films, due to the typical Hollywood accounting. Can anyone confirm whether that is really the case?

I know Prowse and Lucas haven't really been the best of buddies, to put it mildly, but not paying the guy residuals is a new low for Lucas.

WHOA!

Your first several videos spent a lot of time point pointing out errors, but didn't offer a lot of fixes. With that last video, you've finally gotten into the meat of things. There were a few minor issues I had (people getting knocked down without showing how), but overall this was superb.

I'm officially stoked to see this edit!

I'm curious to see how you handle the Palpatine vs. Mace fight and Anakin's turn.

I agree that some kind of payoff is needed.

Sluggo might be able to add some lines at the end when Dooku is talking to Palpatine. Something along the lines of "I bring you good news, my Lord. After ordering the clones, the war has begun." It needs finessing, but something like that. This way, the audience learns that Dooku ordered the clones. But the Jedi do not (not that the original movie is any better in that regard - that subplot is such a mess).

Let's also not forget that Christopher Lee did the voice of Dooku in the Clone Wars animated movie. Some dialog might be able to be lifted from that.

It's good to see all the old faces again!

I have to say, I REALLY like the idea of replacing Sifo Dias with Qui Gon. If there's any way to pull this off, I think we should do it - even if it comes to new dialog for lama su.

This way, the scene with Dooku interrogating Obi Wan becomes much more meaningful. We start to doubt if we knew the real Qui Gon, and we will wonder if he ordered the clones. Only at the very end, when we see that Dooku is a Sith, can we assume that Dooku posed as his former master to place the clone order.

I agree. Without the rest of the Starkiller Ranch prequels, the 3PO change may not work. This edit should be able to work as a stand-alone edit. And Jar Jar's new accent still can't hide the inherent goofiness in his movements. So let's just have less of him.

My only other suggestion for what needs improvement is the use of Dune footage during the battle. It stood out too much for me.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Luke's pronunciation of Tatooine at the end always confused me as well (I saw the movie originally in 80). To be honest, I don't think I understood that word until the 90s. And that was only after I sat down and watched all 3 movies back-to-back and had the context of the beginning of Return of the Jedi.
