Nice to see Batman got his neck broken at the end. I've grown tired of seeing that overrated douchebag portrayed as an unbeatable demigod.

Now, if only there wasn't that bit about Superman in there. I'm sick of seeing Clark constantly Worf Effected to make Flyingmouseman look better.

Christ.

Make of that what you will.

Jesus Christ, the human incarnation of God the Son, the Third Person in the Holy Trinity after God the Father and God the Mother.

Placed on Earth in the year 10,000 HE, His job was to pretend to be the son of Yahweh aka Yaldabaoth aka the Demiurge -- the pantheistic ruler of the multiverse who falsely believed Itself to be the true creator -- so as to deconstruct and undermine Its false teachings so as to reveal the true transcendant God to humanity and restore their connection to the Divine. The Demiurge, being the blind idiot god that it was, actually believed Jesus was Its son and initially sanctioned His actions on Earth.

While on Earth, Jesus performed many great deeds and miracles. He exposed the hypocrisy of religious legalists, healed the sick and injured, and raised the dead. He even ascended Mount Kazbek, where he broke the chains of Prometheus and delivered him from the torments of the evil Zeus.

Eventually, however, Jesus' true nature made itself apparent to Yahweh, and even It figured out It had been duped. Using Its unholy powers, the Demiurge manipulated the Jews and the Romans into arresting, convicting, and crucifying Christ. Nailed to the cross, Jesus died, his soul sent to Sheol were it become a barely sentient shade.

Yes, Christ was dead and He would never be resurrected, but His death ensured the salvation of mankind and their reunification with God. In the end, Yaldabaoth and Its servants lost.

In March 2013, Emmerich stated that the titles of the new films would be ID Forever Part I and ID Forever Part II.[87] The films will take place twenty years after the original, when reinforcements of the original alien race arrive at Earth after finally receiving a distress call.

But look on the bright side -- you could always use the material to make A Ridiculous Independence trilogy. ;-)

Also he was given a choice between doing these and make a trilogy based on Foundation and he choose to make these and now Foundation is being made as a series by HBO.

I will gladly put up with these movies coming out and being hits if it keeps him away from one of my favorite book series of all time.

I wish he'd done the same in regards to the Stargate reboot he's going to do after the Independence Day sequels.

As much as I love the original movie and as much as I think SG-1 and its spinoffs are half-baked letdowns, I really don't want to see the franchise back in his hands.

The all-purpose ART thread!
Time

Hmm, I notice that the drawings I posted earlier aren’t showing up, but the collages are. That’s damn weird.

Ah, well, anyway … new art!

Needless to say, while watching Babylon 5, Delenn became my favourite character on the show. As everyone knows, when I become absolutely fascinated by a woman – real or fictional – I feel compelled to draw at least one picture of her to the best of my ability.

This is based on a Season 2 photo of Delenn, but as I prefer the more glamourous makeup she sported in Season 1 (the lipstick and such, not the enlarged bald cranium and bone crest), I gave her some eye shadow and deep red-purple lips to enhance the underlying sexiness that was largely lost in Season 2+.

This is a crude film poster for an alternate Nightmare on Elm Street sequel I plan on writing whenever I get around to it.

I began working on the drawing months ago, when I was still heavily enamored with Heather Langenkamp, but only finished it recently. As such it’s the last picture I have drawn of her, and as I’m no longer on my “Heather kick”, it’s likely the last picture I’ll draw of her for the forseeable future.

I just watched the official trailer for Jurassic World, the upcoming third sequel to Jurassic Park.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFinNxS5KN4

Aside from the ugly "teal-and-orange" shit, I thought it looked alright at first. Then I heard the words "genetically modified hybrid".

*sigh*

I wonder if the next sequel will be Jurassic Station: Dinos in Space!
