No, the DNR-AI 2.0 version is not official.
Thanks for the clarification.

Is the DNR-AI v2.0 version actually an “official” release of 4K77? Don’t see it listed on the download list on thestarwarstrilogy.com and only on MySpleen so far. (Sorry, don’t keep track of all the people working on it, so not sure if the uploader there represents the team or not.)
There were plans for a supposed 2.5 at one point a couple years ago. Then if I remember correctly when other new sources came along with 4k80 on the horizon, it was decided just to skip 2.5 all together and just go the way to 3.0 which has no eta . Only being told it’ll take a couple years.
He said on YouTube with the release of the new 4K HDR on Disney+ he’d be redoing a lot so it’ll probably take quite some time. Like you said, I’d imagine it will be measured in years. For now we can just enjoy what we have!
Alright guys, I don’t want to keep people hanging. This edit is real close to being done. The rest of August I am finishing up some things, but the edit, along with my Force Awakens edit, will all be released sometime in September.
This was the edit I was most looking forward to and was hoping it would save TLJ for me. Hopefully you are still planning on completing it? Just wondering if abandoned or just postponed?
Wow! After watching HAL9000’s edit I went looking to see what others were doing and the stuff you have here is great! I didn’t think HAL9000 went quite far enough on some things (saber throw, blue milk, shoulder brush, etc), but what I’ve seen here you are making those little bit of extra cuts that I think will make the difference in me actually enjoying TLJ even more than he did. Looking forward to see the final version and hoping it will become my “definitive” TLJ.
Does anyone know if this Ivan Ortega is part of our forums? I’d really like him to join us. Very cool ideas he has.
Just learned about him from Jeremy on Geeks & Gamers last night as well. He looks like he’s doing a great job and it will be cool to see his edits!
Hey guys. Just finished up my personal Last Jedi edit. Here are some clips showing a few of the cuts and how they work:

Lemme know what you think!
All of these work well! I especially like the first two. Not sure I would use the other two myself, but they’re good.
I like that new Poe intro scene! I was not a fan of the humor in TLJ and having the “on hold”/“your mom” joke right off the bat just set a bad tone for the whole thing, IMO. The X-Wing boost just comes out of nowhere though, wonder if it would make sense to show a quick cut of the boost gauge filling up and topping off just before he takes off?
Just watched TLJ for the second time. Didn’t hate it quite as much as I did the first time.
Were you forced to watch it again?
So I get you probably liked TLJ, which is fine and it is your opinion. This thread is specifically for people who didn’t like certain aspects of it and would like to see it changed, even if just for themselves if nothing else. So do you need to come in here and just shit on random comments? I’ve seen at least a few comments now of you just getting on people for not loving it like you apparently do. Go to some other thread where you can circlejerk about how awesome it is, if that is your thing.
Something I wish, and this applies to both the TFA and this movie, but I wish we could somehow replace the starfighters in the films so there not just a copy and past of X-Wing and Tie-Fighters again. I know that’s completely unrealistic, unless the person who does that is Adywan (at this point, I honestly think he could do anything), but I wish we could have gotten something more for example like this for the Resistance:
https://s13.postimg.org/8il7176dj/Untit56656led.png and https://s13.postimg.org/ttir4xlrr/Untit56656l54ed.png
And this for the First Order, if we got instead the original design they almost used, as shown in this concept art:

Now I acknowledge that reasonably, the only person who could maybe make this happen is Adywan, so it’s probably an unreasonable idea, but still. I continue to find it ridiculous that it’s essentially just X-Wings and Tie-Fighters again. I love those designs, they are a huge part of my childhood, but their presence just feels lazy and part of me wonders if there would have been as much comparisons on the TFA and A New Hope if not for them.
Just to counterpoint… I had the exact opposite thoughts the other day. I was thinking it is annoying how they feel they have to introduce a whole slew of new vehicles and alien species every film for who knows why. (OK I know why… as Yogurt would say - merchandising! Gotta sell new toys, not let kids just be content with the ones they already have!) It’s feels like both sides completely redesign their ships every couple years. There is already plenty of variety in SW and I’d rather they focus on creating good stories in the existing universe rather than redesign it every. single. time. Now I don’t care enough that I want someone to go in and replace everything with vehicles from ANH or even the OT or anything, but just something that went through my mind a few days ago as I was dwelling on TLJ again and was poignant as a counter to your post.
Also, might want to quit slobbing on Adywan there. There are tons of people who can and have put out good edits. He’s fine, but other people deserve lots of credit as well and are perfectly capable of doing what you are saying, though I hope they don’t waste time doing so when there are much larger issues, IMO.
Finally just got to see TLJ a couple days ago (yay kids!) and I think I’d definitely like to see a “light” edit of it. I think just a bit of editing to remove the “humor” that doesn’t make sense in-universe and breaks my “suspension of disbelief” would make me enjoy the movie immensely more. Skimming through I see mention of some of them already, such as:
Probably a few more, but those I remember off the top of my head after just seeing it once.
It will be interesting to see some of the bigger edits as well!

Well, I can't really afford a new HDD right now, but I think I should be able to backup the most essential DeEd files on the remaining HDD I already have - the lossless renders, if nothing else.
Depending on the manufacturer, sometimes they'll offer a cross-ship option on drives under warranty. You basically give them a credit card number, and they send you a new drive right away. Then you have something like 30 days to get the old drive back to them, and they only charge your card if you don't send it back in that time frame. I know I've done that with Western Digital drives before.

I created an xdelta patch for going from the pre-fix version to the final fixed version (with correct audio labels, etc.). If you have the old version and don't want to redownload ~20GB or muck about with mkv editors, you can use this. Just extract it to the same folder as the mkv video file and run the .bat file. You need to make sure to have the same name as originally downloaded or to edit the .bat file if you've changed it. And be sure to have another ~20 GB available before starting as it will create a whole new file!
Dropbox link, hopefully will work here
I tested and verified, the fixed version should match the official md5 of 1e34878403b05924f71354e961016fce after completion.
Huge thanks for this Deusxanime. I had been meaning to change my file and start seeding but I was too lazy. This was the kick in the pants I needed to get this seeding again. I really appreciate this.
No problem. I took one for the team and downloaded the new file even though I had the pre-fix one, so I could create the xdelta. It didn't take long with my connection, but it did kill my myspleen ratio downloading them both. So everyone needs to get on myspleen, grab the torrent, and download the fixed version off of there so I can get some seeding going! =)
