Körkarlen AKA The Phantom Carriage AKA Thy Soul Shall Bear Witness! AKA The Stroke of Midnight (1921)

Though I've gained a very dim outlook on human nature over the years and a very "eye for an eye" sense of retribution against those who cause strife and harm to others, films like this help to remind me of the value of forgiveness and bring me close to believing in man's capacity for redemption again.

9/10

Asylum (1972)

This is definately the weakest of the five anthology horror films I've seen from Amicus Productions. Only the second story with Peter Cushing is really any good; the rest are either okay but blatantly predictable (the first and third stories) or just outright stupid (the fourth and final story with the mini-Herbert Lom). Still, I would have rated the movie a 7/10, but the poorly executed ending just soured it for me.

6/10

Touch of Evil (1958) -- 7/10

Babylon 5: The River of Souls (1998) -- 6.5/10

The Night Flier (1997)  -- 6.5/10

Crazy as Hell (2002) -- 7.4/10

I have a theory.  Everybody is talking about the hooded figure speculating he may be an ancient warrior of some kind.  What if this character turns out to be Darth Plagueis?  He actually DID manage to save himself from death and has been in some form of hibernation for years and years. The shot from the trailer is him waking up and igniting his lightsaber ready to kick some ass.  The force awakens.  As in the ultimate user of the force awakens.  Huh?  Huh???

I know it's dumb but I love speculation like this ^-^

If this is true, I will take that ugly lightsaber and commit seppuku with it.

It just occurred to me that Sith Saber might truly be an "ancient weapon". Handed down, or maybe belongs to somebody who's been hibernating for a long time?

In that case, they should have went with using a Sith sword or some other equivalent weapon instead of that dumbass-looking lightsaber. It'd pull off "ancient handed-down weapon" a whole lot better than a light-crossguard does.

When I saw that rolling volleyball droid, I was sure this was going to turn out to be a false teaser -- a joke teaser, you could say. But no, it's serious -- completely, utterly serious.

And that lightsaber -- I almost laughed when that stupid light-crossguard popped out. It feels like it was done for comedic effect.

Suffice it to say, I liked absolutely nothing about this teaser other than the cool new stormtrooper armour.

If the actual movie doesn't pan out better than this lameness, then I am going to repeatedly murder Abrams in my dreams for the rest of his life.
