Just picked up OT Trivial Pursuit for $2. It's from 1998, they call it "Classic Trilogy."

I think the sooner someone asks LFL about their position on the OUT at this time the better. No doubt they have a position, so it'd be great to know for sure what it is. And to make it clear there are still people out here that want to see these movies.

Beginning the ST with the Empire still controling the galaxy would be like killing Newt and Hicks in the opening scene of Alien 3, IMO.
As in, dramatically justified and probably resulting in a better film? Interesting point.
??????????
That's beautiful, makes you notice all the detail in those buildings.
When do you think we might see some pictures?
He could blow up Coruscant and end the movie.
Or wake up from a dream right after that.
That comic reminds me that I would love to finally see a live action foot battle in space. Make it happen J.J.!
This being just a Fox thing I'd bet the DVD is from 2004.
Definitely something to keep an eye on - but I doubt it contains the OUT. There would be much more fanfare me thinks. Looks like the only difference will be that it's a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.
I'm sure someone else can turn ROTJR into a SE.
You do realize how much the Avengers made? Now Star Wars is my favorite thing in the universe, but it's not everyone's. I'm willing to admit that, box office wise, these films are on the same level.
Also, I said films are front loaded these days. If you really think Avengers is not up to nerf herder scruff, then it'll have no problem making way for SWVII three weeks later.
^My thoughts exactly. Movies are very frontloaded these days. I see no reason why Disney wouldn't release these two films at different times in one month.
Star Wars comes out memorial day weekend. I expect no exceptions.
IMAX is not a gimmick. If you go to a real IMAX theater, then the screen is huge, and the projection is on 70mm trays. If you're seeing a film shot in IMAX, then the picture is significantly greater than the picture of 35mm film.
Also, even at LIeMAX, the sound is outstanding. I don't know about elsewhere, but the sound at my local theater is shit. IMAX is surround sound, and it's loud, like a movie theater should be.
Plus the seats are nice and comfy and the person in front of you is never in the way of the screen.
I treat IMAX going as something special. A couple times a year, because the closest one to me is about 45 minutes. But the experiences I have there are always outstanding.
Disney only makes films in 3D.
Yeah the first time I watched I thought it was maybe like a rough cut or a mistake that their mouths weren't moving. Suffice to say, when the dialogue rarely matches the mouth movement in your movie, you have to make a distinction for when it's not supposed to, just so we know what's going on.
By the way, hilarious. Honestly, the few scenes you've posted have been some of the funniest you've ever made. I'm very much looking forward to this!
Finality of the Ridiculousness
The Ridiculousness Returns
The Ridiculous Jedi
Gosling and Efron: clearly the stuff of rumor mill BS.
That being said I'd totally dig Gosling as Luke Jr.
I think even if 20th Century Fox has retained the home video rights we still should be seeing a release of the OUT sometime in the future.
See the only real problem with Dooku's flip is that you would never see anything like that at all in an OT film.
Ground floor door please.
I hope that shot of Dooku flipping over the railing isn't going to be in your edit.
Great job otherwise!
Star Wars Episode VI: This Title is Not Like the Others
I'd say, if you want to do CGI, leave it for a version 2.
As for the lightsabers, I think the best route would be to give ALL the jedi in the PT blue lightsabers. Someone else said it first, but I'll repeat it here. I think it would add some really cool symbolism if all the jedi had blue lightsabers before Luke did, making the color of his saber sort of the indication of a new order. That way there's actually some meaning to the saber colors.
In addition, when you think about it, the fact that the jedi have sabers that are different, vibrant colors is sort of silly. It kind of makes the PT feel more like a cartoon.
Also, I've seen a yellow lightsaber before and they look a little strange.
