What is/was the best SW Game ever, on any platform?

But not a single mention of the Force Unleashed games?

That is the single worst SW game I have ever played. I wish I could delete the brain memory of it. The storyline is insulting to the characters of Vader and Emperor, to say the least. Some dumb worthless character defeating both Emperor and Vader. Stupid and ridiculous. I mean how could a crap like this get a green light at LucasArts? Oh I forgot... it was developed by LucasArts. No wonder the new owners closed it down.

Ouch!  I can tell you really disliked it.  There's no accounting for taste, I guess.

I knew it had a bad rep, but I figured that mostly came from people who never really gave it a shot.

As far as insulting to the characters- you're probably right.  But I didn't hold the game up to the same standards as a book or movie as far as that goes.  I took it as a fun, non-canonical romp in a universe I enjoyed and it had some great environs.

Much like the Dark Forces series- I really enjoy the games and the stories, but I don't consider them canon.

That's exactly how I viewed the game when playing it. From the start I thought to myself, "Vader had an apprentice? What? No he didn't... This is what it would be like if he did have one, and if it was the most powerful jedi ever."

You guys arguing with impscum might be wise to remember a certain guy who insisted part two of a four part whatever was always the best no matter what.

Hmm, what's a "four part whatever"?

Anything with four parts.

The point is that comparing Ewoks to Jawas is really silly, but good luck covincing this guy.

Eh, I think I'm done.

and yes as has ben said many times the Ewoks do not defeat the Emperor's best troops, the Rebels best troops do that. The Ewoks merely get massacred causing a diversion.

Precisely.

I'll reiterate what I said:

defeat of some of, what are supposed to be, the Empire's best forces

The main problem here, like Bingo said, is that the Ewoks are played for laughs. And then they start killing stormtroopers. I tell myself that it's really the Rebel troops doing all the heavy lifting in the battle when I watch the movie, but the sad part is the majority of the battle is devoted to showing the Ewoks.

I'd like to state again that I'm someone who loves ROTJ, despite it's flaws. But I am willing to admit that it does have flaws.

I'm not sure why you're turning this into an argument, but I'll just clear up something you misread:

defeat of some of, what are supposed to be, the Empire's best forces.

That's what I said. I did not say they were pivotal in the defeat of the Empire (though, I guess they are when you look at it your way). What I'm trying to say is Jawas never killed a bunch of Stormtroopers (other way around, actually).

Also Jawas didn't look like teddy bears. They actually don't even look that silly, when you think about it.

Also, I looked at ANH, Jawas first appear about 12 minutes in, then disappear about 19 minutes in. So yeah, 7 minutes. Ewoks are in ROTJ for considerably longer than that.

Yes but the Ewoks have a large amount of screen time.

So do Jawas.

Not even remotely close to the same amount of screen time. And the only time the Jawas are involved in any sort of bad "comedy" is in the SE changes. Also, while pivotal to the plot, they are not behind the defeat of some of, what are supposed to be, the Empire's best forces.

And this is coming from someone who's never really minded Ewoks and who generally loves ROTJ.

Too Twilight. Plus, the acronym would be AND. Not as bad as STID though. ;)

At least they didn't just go with Star Trek: Darkness.

STID and STD mean the same thing now, unfortunately.

A New Dawn seems too obvious. My guess is a fan made up that name.

Actually I think they should go with something similar. A New Start. And then we can abbreviate it as ANuStart.

Idea: Alternate ROTJ Ending Concept
Time

But only ROTJ is really full of Jim Henson muppet monsters. I'm assuming ROTJ is your favorite then, and that would explain why you don't mind (rather like), the childish Ewok celebration, which would no doubt feel out of place in either of the other two OT films. While the scene might fight perfectly in ROTJ as the most suited ending, it's annoying to see it as an end to a saga that was once much more.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I hate to be "that guy," so my apologies, but is there honestly a way to view this on a Mac? I've tried to find out on my own on multiple occasions in the last couple of years, and finally I decided to download it and see what I could do. So I have the image for the AVCHD/DVD9, and I can't for the life of me figure out if it's even possible to watch or burn it on a Mac. Help would be greatly appreciated.

JEDIT: Holy god, I just got it to work on VLC player. Going to watch, might need to get a new box of tissues. But, to be clear, I still have no idea how to burn this. Help would be appreciated.

Last movie seen
Time

Hunger (2008) 9/10 - I haven't posted here in awhile but I felt I needed to write about this. If you haven't seen it yet, you really should. The structure of the film is incredibly interesting.

*SPOILERS FOR A MOVIE BASED ON A TRUE STORY* The first half of the movie is sparse in dialogue, and sets up the story mostly, in the process switching between a couple (seemingly) protagonists, before settling on the great Michael Fassbender. Then we get a twenty plus minute scene of purely dialogue between him and Liam Cunningham (which contains a ridiculously impressive 17 minute long take). Then the last twenty minutes of the movie is Fassbender dying from starvation and is basically without dialogue. It's just completely fresh and harrowing and brilliant and so many other things. *SPOILERS END*

Highly recommended, with a warning: probably the grossest movie I've ever seen.

I hate posting in this thread because I feel like I'm just adding more clutter to what is, at this point, probably more than a thousand pages of clutter; but I wonder, since the question is asked so often, should the title of the thread be 'STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION" **ADYWAN** - **DONE WHEN IT'S DONE**.'

Perhaps you accidentally clicked the "add to friend list" button while scrolling down the page too fast and trying to click on a different option? I know I have from time to time.

Probably true as I have gone on this site with my iPod touch a number of times. Would explain, for instance, why you are on my friends list (no offense meant here).
