I was feeling very proud of myself today and I almost posted in this thread complimenting myself

but I remembered I’m smarter than that and decided to create my own thread where I am the king. I also didn’t consult this thread

because my ideas are brilliant and don’t need any consultation.

Rules are simple.

1. You are always welcome (provided you follow the rules).
2. You can ONLY compliment yourself. (You cannot compliment others inside this thread and I wouldn’t suggest doing it outside the thread either, personally)
3. NO praising and/or off topic remarks directed at anyone inside the thread. (and again, outside is probably a bad idea too)
4. NO loopholes about praising other’s “posts” (and not the poster themselves). Praise yourself or praise NOTHING.

I’ll start.

I am a good person. Today I was eating chocolate cookies when I remembered that cookies can be less than healthy, so I stopped eating cookies before I had too many. I know all of us are humans and are not perfect… but I think I might be.

If the new music seems perfect and irreplaceable, we could probably replace it’s later appearance pretty easily.

Sure, but wouldn’t that just create the same problem but in a different spot? Not sure how the new music would be more perfect and irreplaceable than the existing use of the same music in the film as is.

The Atari 2600 game was pretty great however. I played it way too much.

This movie is a pinata – a pinata made of schmaltz, stuffed to bursting with saccharine-coated corn, surrounded by a horde of cute but annoying little children who all yell too much.

That being said, the pinata is a nice looking pinata, and the mom at the party has an ass which looks great in a leopard print dress.

Beyond the imitate Vader answer, I think the movie makes abother reason obvious: because Kylo, helmeted, looks like a kid. The helmet is for intimidation.

I was okay with it. Never really liked Stanton, always felt too much like an impression to me.

You know, this is pretty ridiculous. I have no doubt I’m one of the people being called a TFA fanboy and I do take issue with that. Do I love it? Yeah. Do I think it’s perfect? Absolutely not, and I’ve never been afraid to criticize it myself. Do I still constantly defend it? Yeah. Because most of the criticisms I see here are poorly thought out, honestly. Rarely are my responses anything less than thought out, unless I’m talking to a dick wipe troll like impscum.

Calling me a fanboy is just as much the kind of baseless insult that you’re claiming we’ve been using. If you’re open to a reasoned discussion, then go for it. This ain’t that.

It seems that it doesn’t gross over 900M worldwide. It has performed very well in the US, though. Hard to believe that there are movies like Transformers sequels and Hobbits above it. Well, not hard, but disappointing.

It’s run is far from over. December releases usually have large multipliers. Should easily surpass the $500mil mark in the US and could certainly top a billion worldwide.

He was a pompous asshole long before TFA came out.

The SEs were actually because of the theatrical release.

Putting that into the contract would be a really pissy thing to do. I don’t think he honestly cares that much. I really don’t think he ever put that much thought towards the SEs. He prefers the them, and that’s probably why he commissioned 4K scans so that they would live on. But when he sold the company he knew he was selling away everything. They felt no need to follow his ST story treatments, for instance.
