Okay, so some of the war scenes looked more cyan, whereas in my regrade they turned out a deeper blue. But other than that, my grade captures the skin tones and color balances well?
How about shots of flames? Do you remember if they had as much yellow as in my grade?

So it appears that the mono on that print was the LaserDisc one as mentioned.
As I mentioned before, I’d like to know how the colors/contrast looked, particularly skin tones for color, and whether or not Arnold’s eyes were visible through his glasses during the “I’ll be back” shot.

Breezed through the first season of the 90s X Men cartoon. It’s objectively better than the movies.

^I’m not sure what that’s all about, but in the first video you posted, there is no loud sound. It’s very quiet, and sounds like the same thump that occurs in the BD 5.1 mix. The second video sounds almost identical to the first, only it’s very slightly louder and more clangy.
Neither of the sounds presented in those videos are the same sound effect that is present in the original mono presented on LaserDisc (the 2.1 mono source that kk650 included with his release). That mix has a loud clang that is a little more obvious that it’s a dubbed sound effect. It sounds nothing like those videos.

It would be cool if you could keep in mind how the skin tones look, general color balances in the image (bright cyans/deep blues, red/yellow of flames, etc.), and especially the contrast/darkness of the image (one shot I’m curious about specifically is “I’ll be back,” concerning how visible Arnold’s eyes are through the glasses).
Any input from what you see would be great to hear, as I’m still trying to figure out some things about how it should all look. Thanks in advance for helping out! 😄

MeTV not only chops shows up, but even speeds shows up on occasion to fit in another ad or two. I don’t think I’ve ever caught an episode of Wanted: Dead or Alive that wasn’t playing too fast.
This is about protesters who illegally abstruct the highways, and subsequently get hit by cars because they’re being idiots. The drivers are not at fault if they hit a person who shouldn’t be out on the road like that.
There have also been cases of people ramming cars into protesters. This law means anyone who gets hit in that situation has to prove the driver intended to hit them, rather than the driver having to prove the protester was unavoidable. The switch in burden is significant.
This does sound like a reasonable issue, and I was unaware that intent-based hits have been occurring.
Now, I don’t think people should hit protesters on the road, but it’s the fault of the protester that they’re out there on the road illegally.
Right of way isn’t a death penalty affair. You drive, you avoid obstacles.
I think a big issue is that some people are so stupid that they think it’s a good idea to protest in the middle of a highway, and especially those who don’t get out of the way when a car isn’t slowing down.
Meanwhile in North Carolina, HB330 just passed the House, which protects you from civil suits if you run over protesters with your car. Veto expected, but how the crap can a majority of any collection of human beings vote for this?

To be fair, the color seen here does not necessarily reflect the scan raw, it uses an LUT based on litemakr’s input on how the color should look going off of projecting his unfaded(?) Super 8(?) print.
Perhaps litemakr can weigh in?
The print is an unfaded 35mm LPP. I’m not sure where Super 8 came up. But yeah, you are correct in that litemakr adjusted the raw scan’s color to approximate the projected print, as he said that in the original post.

But you can’t lean on principle, because it’s not a physical object. I lean on my principal all the time, as long as he’s not inconvenienced.
I haven’t seen it (don’t plan to), but I think any Peanuts film animated in 3D CGI should recieve a negative score on principal. 😉

Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) – ★★★1/2 (Ebert scale)
Good movie. The comedy works well and it’s a fun ride. Sam Neil is good, along with the rest of the cast. Good performances all around. I actually never knew that he was a New Zealand guy until I read some after watching the film.
