You might be nearly the only person who wants to watch films in this manner.

I would have to assume that there are plenty of people who would prefer it that way (Like some of my weirder friends who have no care for quality of presentation, and I’d guess mostly pirates), and heck, even Stanley Kubrick hated letterboxing, and that’s why he shot all of his films (after Clockwork Orange, I think) in open-matte.

^The letterbox is there to make it Blu-Ray compliant. VLC is perfectly capable of cropping the letterbox off if you don’t like it. If it won’t work with the standard crop settings, open tools and you can manually crop in there. Next, the other languages are there to allow people of the whole world to watch SW how they prefer. Lastly, this is the wrong thread to be posting this about, because you’re talking about the originally released Despecialized v2.5, and it’s thread is found here:

EDIT: I type too slow! 😄 You beat me to it, DL! I actually started, though… 😉

The Place to Go for Emotional Support

^I guess I’ll have to agree with RicOlie_2 and moviefreakedmind, then. The addictions may not be the overpowering problem, but getting rid of that crap will inevitably make anything easier to get through. I know that addictions are terrible, and I’m dealing with my own issues (not directly comparable to your addictions), and this kind of stuff is major hindrance to living a life worth living.

I don’t think he’s the praying type, though I think prayer would help…

Hang in there, Possessed. I can’t say it’ll solve all your problems, but breaking free from your addictions would probably help you at least somewhat. I wish it was an easier thing to do, but I really don’t think all that drink and pot is doing you any good.

I’m positive that these addictions are the reasons for the lack of fulfillment he described.

I wish I could enjoy something. I’m so emotionally worn out and drained. I’m extremely depressed about a few things But I don’t care anymore. I give up only life. Its cool. I just wish I could enjoy something. Anything. My hobbies are meaningless. No enjoyment. I don’t care about my music anymore. I don’t enjoy video games anymore. I’m not close to any of my friends anymore. I don’t talk to them about my thoughts anymore. All I do is work, drink, smoke pot watch tv and cry. I hate living.

Have you tried praying to God for help? I don’t know your exact religious situation, but I seem to remember you stating that you believed in God at some point. If things aren’t going well, the best thing to do is not give up, have faith in the Lord, and get help from other believers.

The Force Awakens: Official Review Thread - ** SPOILERS **

I think the destruction of the system at all just makes the fact it’s an afterthought unbearable for me. It’s like they wanted to display this things power and threat, but then didn’t want to acknowledge the importance of such a thing in the story. It just felt shoved in there. Though it may be worse in theory, making it another plot device would’ve at least given it a purpose within the film.

No, actually. Originaltrilogy.com used to be above this sort of thing…

I’ve only been lurking this site since 2014 (joined in 2015, and didn’t even start posting frequently until January), and in the time I’ve been here, I’ve noticed everything you’ve mentioned, as I’m sure most everyone else has (some others have mentioned it in the recent past even). I especially remember noticing the the point you made about cursing, because I distinctly remember checking the rules again to make sure my memory of the matter wasn’t false, and I was then confused why that rule had been blatantly disregarded for some reason.
